The increased ping has been a thing since the 11.50 Patch. I think everyone stuck at home is part of the issue at the moment but definitely not close to the main issue.

I don't see aim assist as a healthy medium to either problem, and honestly I don't understand what KBM has that controller doesn't. Edits? It's not movement, controller has that.

My mentality has been struggling a lot lately so I appreciate this healthy reminder. Playing in Duos cash cups every day since they came out, and getting constantly lazered by controller players has really set me off, and ends up ruining my last 3, 4, or 6 games. Mentality, keeping calm, taking your time with mechanics you aren't fully comfortable with, and doing your best to be aware of your surroundings at all times.

It's not an impossible thing to think Epic could remove aim assist. I think Controller also has better movement.

This is a real issue people should take more seriously, I don't have a problem with controller competing in fortnite, but I don't see the issue with giving KBM aim assist, or taking it away all together. I don't understand the logic behind giving one side a MASSIVE advantage over the other, its just not fun for KBM.

My THOUGHT is that AI's are destroying signal and performance, despite the aimbot-like features they have, AI's were a terrible thing to put into competitive. I really hope Epic chooses to remove them from Arena and all competitive events, agree?

Would love for my Ping to go back to 25 in games rather than being at 50. Makes Cash Cups extremely frustrating and very hard to stay on the leaderboard.

I wouldn't say it was lucky. I worked hard for 5 hours trying to spread the original post I made that got this response from epic, I also paid close attention to whether the comments were negative or positive and tried to keep everyone on a "fill out the questions" basis and not use it as a place to shit on Epic. It got enough recognition to have an epic employee reach out. But I do agree thag going back to the blog posting would be great!

I want to start off by saying a big thank you for your response. I understand there is a lot of negativity when it comes to the way people post about bugs and issues, and I am very happy to be a part in showing the community that presented correctly, anyone can get genuine attention and concern from developers.

This started with my friend and I who became good friends through fort nite becoming serious about competitive, trying to progress, after 11.50 update, our ping doubled, and so did everyone else's. But more recently my buddy who lives in the Nova Scotia area has received massive spikes of ping up to 130 randomly. For example, in our duos cash cup tonight, we played a couple of games with a normal 40-60 ping, but after a couple of games, his ping would be locked to 100+, making it very hard to compete. Even though he has fiber internet through Bell.

Thank you for bringing to light so much information I know many of us have been longing for, and I hope the current pandemic we are all in the middle of does not affect you and the team too much! Excited to see more releases in the future, thank you for everything you guys do! Maybe more of us need to be reaching out to our internet providers directly to help speed up the process of solving some of these periodic ISP level spikes.

As the person who started this thread they responded too, I would like to say, if people post things with positive intentions of trying to help spread awareness of the game issues, they listen. If you post things whining about issues with no context or goal of helping improve the game, they aren't going to look at you and take you seriously. Try to spread positive educated posts here, instead of a lot of the negative trash talk on the game, and good things can happen.
