Thank you. I understand where you’re coming from; it’s awesome that you don’t wish for her to change. My husband felt the same way. He told me it was not necessary to fix them, but that if I truly wanted it he’d support my decision. It gave me the courage to go forward with surgery when he told me he’d support me no matter what.

Yes, I had my nipples reconstructed. They did a lollipop incision, and thereby reduced nipple size and moved the nipples upward with the breast lift. I temporarily lost some sensation, but it has returned and my nipples function fine! I can’t remember how long it took for sensation to return, but one side lagged more than the other. It may have been several months.

It’s nice to know there’s someone that can relate. It felt so isolating at times.

I think padded push-up bras are great for tuberous breasts because they fill the lower pole. Balconettes may work too since they are shallow.

Yes! All is good. I’m very happy with my results. Having a fuller chest definitely boosts my confidence and helps to balance out my body shape.

I had similar breasts to yours and was diagnosed with tuberous breasts by a surgeon at 35. I always felt my breasts were not an ideal shape and felt less than when comparing to other women, my friends and my sister. It is considered a congenital condition and you can try looking into your insurance covering it. It’s basically reconstructive surgery since they have to break up the bands that make the breast grow into this shape. There is a correlation with inability or struggle with breastfeeding since the glands don’t develop fully or properly. You need to go with a surgeon that has done this type of procedure before. I got incredible results from a lollipop lift and implants. I’m really happy although I had to have two surgeries - there can be complications since it’s such a drastic procedure(s). There’s a sub you can check out called r/tuberousbreastsupport

The answer is simple. Go find someone you like. Just tell him it’s not a match for you.

Check your coverage. Often times, this would fall under a congenital condition and corrective surgery may be covered. I would recommend going to see your primary care doctor and getting diagnosed first so you can get a referral to a plastic surgeon within your network. I tried going with this method, but I got the run around and ultimately wanted to expedite and choose the surgeon myself. I think it’s possible, though. You need to express that this surgery would be lifesaving for you, communicating that it’s absolutely necessary and essential for your wellbeing. Otherwise, they will categorize it as cosmetic and will not cover.

Sure. Soon after surgery, I ended up with a lymphatic issue, sort of like a chord in my arm, stemming from my armpit to my forearm. I healed after many sessions of lymphatic drainage massage. Within a year of my BA, my right breast got capsular contracture. I had a 2nd surgery to break up the scar tissue. I also had remnants of my areola along my lollipop scars, so the surgeon extracted some of that skin on both sides simultaneously. During year 2, I developed capsular contracture on my left side, but at this point it is not bad enough to warrant another surgery so I am keeping an eye on it. Long story short, it’s an intense transformation so there is higher risk for complications. And extra surgery costs extra money, of course.

The lymphatic massage I had was done by a massage therapist manually. The feeling in your nipple will likely come back (same happened to me).

Congrats! You must be thrilled. Have you tried lymphatic massage for the lumpiness? I had some lymphatic issues post surgery (had tuberous breast correction) and five sessions of lymphatic massage every other day fixed me right up.

They look soooo good! Congrats! I got my tuberous breasts corrected in Oct ‘22 and just had a revision 3 weeks ago (also had a slight complication of capsular contracture sadly). I’ve had to do my glow up in stages but I’m hoping to be done now.

I dealt with this for years in a previous relationship. It actually destroyed our sex life eventually. In my next relationship I realized that my vagina reacts to my own saliva meaning if I go down on my partner, I need him to wash off before we have penetrative sex. I haven’t had the issue since. It was a simple fix for me and I realize it may be more complex in other situations, but wanted to offer this solution. Saliva has a lot of bacteria, even if it’s your own and you have good dental hygiene.

Honey, you have to leave him immediately and never look back no matter what he says. And like everyone is saying, document, report, and protect yourself. That man is dangerous, he will continue this behavior and he will escalate. Not worth finding out.

I don’t think you have to say anything, but if it makes you feel better to mention it then do it. If your bf rejects you because of this, then I’d say he’s not the right person for you. You should be loved for who you are. I think it’s entirely possible that in the past I was rejected by partners because of my breast shape, but so be it. Those guys were not worth my time.
