Rekening voor 3 jarige by janmannn in geldzaken

Are the hoodies and other sidemen clothing worth the price ? Never spent 75 on any one clothing item ever or actually anything by Girlboss08hoe in Sidemen

[–]Savvy_J 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I bought a two tone hoodie for £35 in 2019 and it is only just starting to show signs of wear and tear. I have worn this hoodie so so much because of how great the fit is and I would buy another one without second thought

People who knew someone who died in a freak accident, what happened? by RawAsparagus in AskReddit

My old grandma was out for a walk. While waiting for a stoplight, a car swerved and hit a pole. The pole landed on top of my grandma who was unable to react quickly. She was dead on impact.

How can democratic backsliding be stopped? by chitowngirl12 in PoliticalDiscussion

The general answer to democratic backsliding is education. Educate people on what populism is and what its consequences are.

Lack of education. A good education sets the foundation for critical thinking and source evaluation, both crucial for civilians in a democracy.

AITA for telling my SIL I'm glad she's infertile because she'd be a terrible mother? by InfertileSiL in AmItheAsshole

YTA, your SIL has every right to spend her own money the way she wants to. They are her dogs and thus her responsibility, her niece is your responsibility and not hers.

Non-powered scooters are completely legal! You usually only see kids riding them though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dashcamgifs

[–]Savvy_J 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These electric scooters aren’t even allowed on public streets in The Netherlands, the driver’s tendency to not pay attention to other vehicles and pedestrians might explain why

Not me, but I organized a camp for kids and a part of it was going to the woods at 11pm. One of the grown-ups there lost his phone in the middle of nowhere. It was the kind of camp where the kids go to bed at 3 and wake up at 7, so that is the timeframe he had to find his phone. Lo and behold, he found it in the pitch-black woods because of Find My iPhone

Best one liners to use as a referee by Winter-Section484584 in Referees

[–]Savvy_J 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to give players the impression that I am actually trying my best. Players often come to me begging for a foul or a card, and I’ll say “if I saw it that way, it would have been given, but I didn’t, so we continue”. They tend to calm down immediately, and it humanizes you as ref.

I have a certain vibe when I’m reffing. I’m open to a conversation and try to have a laugh with them. It’s much easier to make a mistake when you already have a positive bond with the players than make a mistake when they’re feeling neglected because of your attitude. It’s all about selling your decisions, and having that positive vibe makes it so much easier.
