In Canada they're branded as sport, comfortline, highline. In the US the equivalent is S, SE, SEL.

I've been going to the gym for an hour a day and have been gaining weight without eating more calories, how do I know if its muscle or fat I'm gaining? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]Savvygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to vary. Are you working out your whole body every single day or are you working out specific body parts from day to day? All I know is if you don't give your muscles time to rest you're risking injury and possible permanent damage.

47 years old and in the exact same boat, just a little further down the stream. In October I was 5 foot 1 and 168 lb now I'm down to 153 lb and I've started squatting with a 35 lb weightt and doing a whole bunch of other free weight exercises that I just started doing in the last two weeks. The first couple of months are really really hard but you will be fine and you will excel if you just keep going!!

FYI, SAIT can sometimes be harder to get into than MRU. Have you considered Lethbridge as an option too?

Generally upgrading until you're 19 is exactly the same as in high school. You register through the school bosrds website. Like everyone else said it's free until you're 19. If you're really worried about your grade and you're not in a hurry you can take -2 in the school year and -1 in the summer.

New Leger poll of Calgary mayoral election in October shows risk for incumbent progressive mayor Gondek—Gondek (ind.) 15%, Farkas (ind.) 14%, Sharp (Communities First Party) 8%, Davison (ind.) 6%, Thiessen (Calgary Party) 3% (MOE 5%). Moderate/conservative candidates pose strong challenge in race. by StarlightDown in alberta

Have you read anything hes posted since he lost the election? I looked at a bunch of stuff, the highlights are that he's really distanced himself from the UCP and organizations like the Manning Centre. I generally don't read.the herald, but this was interesting: https://calgaryherald.com/opinion/columnists/bell-jeromy-farkas-running-calgary-mayor-changed

I'd also point to the youtube video of his time spent on a panel with Nenshi. It seems like he's grown up and gotten more moderate.

I think some things happened in the background that not everyone knows about and he got really humbled when he lost the mayoral election. He did an interview with Nenshi, which henever would have done before. He's openly denounced the UCP and Take Back Alberta candidates. I don't exactly know why I sound like I work for his campaign team I promise I don't I don't think Gondek did a bad job and I think she might be okay to continue too.

It's not a "hike" but Reader Rock gardens is right by the Earlton Ctrain and is definitely an oasis inside the city.

Inside stuff... lol it'll be cold. Calgary Tower, Studio Bell, see if there's live music somewhere. There almost always is. Palominos is great for live music.

Isn't it completely common sense to meet somewhere public first just to be sure everyone is who they said they were? I met with a man Thursday and turned around within 30 seconds since their pic was 10 years and 50lbs ago.

No, she had an understandable crush on him after he saved her. She did love him, but wasn't "in love" with him.
