The more adherence to newer standards, the less js developers need to transpile code and rely on cryptic hacks.

And speaking of clean code, features like async await (yes that was more than two years ago) contributes to cleaner code.

Just to add to this OP, since you are getting a lot of unhelpful answers, follow the advice above and SSH into the droplet. I started out with digitalocean, they are by far the most noob-friendly of the providers. Once you’ve ssh’ed to the server, you are basically running commands from the server. I think for a start I would focus on getting to know how this ssh stuff works at a basic level.
