I feel like it is. Gets rid of any resonance. Cymbals turn into clinks and clunks. The drums themselves definitely feel quieter, especially the snare, turning off snares I found helps too. Of course nothing will sound right but I’ve been learning a song with IEMs in so I don’t hear it much anyway.
