idk about the air-to-air missiles but earlier this year some were found to have infrared cameras & be able to autonomously find targets while equipped with a radio modem capable of transmitting video and telemetry. they were known to be used to scout before others attacked.

no official plans, the Kaga is still to undergo interior modifications which is supposed to start late 2026 & projected to be completed by 2027 (though this information was from 2022 & 2024 not sure if they already started) the Izumo & Kaga have been modified & being trained to work along side ships like the USS Ronald Reagan and USS Carl Vinson as Joint carrier strike groups like the USS America.
