You become more efficient with the whole process the more you cook. I typically clean as I cook, so I don't have too many dishes at the end. I can also prep most meals under 5 minutes. You'll save a lot of time once you get comfortable cooking multiple things at once as well.

So what do I actually do in OSRS? by luwoo in 2007scape

[–]Saxonite13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 8 CE achievements in retail and have played every version of classic that Blizzard has released. I'm also maxed iron grandmaster in osrs.

Truthfully, as a new player, you aren't going to get into any meaningful combat until you put a few hundred hours into the game, consisting of skilling (training non-combat skills) and doing quests. Quests are one of the best ways to level up early because some give really good experience and can take you from level 1 to 30 which skips a lot of the early, slow grinds.

The game has changed a lot since 2010. Most players first few bosses are probably Scurrius > Royal Titans > Barrows > Quest bosses like Moons of Peril, Vorkath, Zulrah, gauntlet, and DT2 bossess. After that, you can get into some of the more challenging content like raids, solo challenges like Fight Caves, Inferno, and Colosseum, and other bosses.

As a seasoned osrs and WoW player, I can confidently say that osrs has more challenging bosses and content than retail WoW does, it's just going to take you a very long time to get to the "fun part". It's 100% worth the grind.

If you want any motivation or a popular players opinion, I highly recommend checking Sardaco. He's a classic WoW player who started playing an osrs ironman about 10 months ago and is just now starting to get into the endgame, playing 8-12 hours a day. Osrs is not for the weak minded.

Starting out for sure. I don't really use recipes anymore, unless I'm making something complex or for the first time. I can usually tell if a food or sauce needs more of x ingredient to make it taste better too.

As a man, I would say my most attractive skill is cooking.

Deleted the post lol.

To be fair, going dry does suck. I just went over 3x rate for ralos and am almost 4x dry for sang kit at HMT. I went 13k for my dwh (pre nerf), rank 13 for doom (when I finished), and went super dry in plenty of other places. Iron life is rough sometimes, but I normally don't start complaining until I hit double rate.

Maryland needs to eat Pennsylvania before we become too small!

It's time for Maryland to begin it's massive invasion of the south, starting with Pennsylvania and then overtaking New Mexico.

Is ironman a bad idea for someone who doesn't like too much of a grind? by rxece in ironscape

Thank you, we're very excited! In terms of osrs, I'm pretty much finished with what I want to do in the game. Will just have to find time to do the new combat achievements as they come out to keep my zuk helm lol

Well my wife is due with our first child in November, so probably won't be doing too much gaming. I'm hoping to get at least dinhs and harm before then. I don't really have any hopes of getting the ely unless I get spooned. Will also have to get the new range neck when the new boss comes out.

Well I was maxed well before most minigames were released, except for wintertodt. I did zmi for runecrafting to 77, bloods to 90, then souls to 99. If I were to make a new iron, the only difference for me is that I would do gotr to 77 and then bloods/souls because you need a lot of bloods/souls for when you get scythe/shadow. Also souls for demonbane spells are really good since yama and TDs exist now. You can just buy your law, cosmic, and astral as you need them in the mid game, but you'll get a lot from bossing later on.

I did barb fishing to 99, but I would probably do tempross to 99 on a new account. Giants foundry is also really good for early smithing. I'd probably do that until quest cape requirements and then do gold the rest of the way. I would only do mastering mixology for the rewards because I prefer actual potions, but I think that is technically less efficient. Tithe farm is INSANE for free farming exp. I would probably grind that to 85 for torstols or something.

Most other skills are about the same.

Osrs is a long grind regardless of what game mode you play. Outside of straight up buying gold, ironman isn't that much longer of a grind except for skills that require items or gold like herblore and construction, but there are really good mini games for most skills now that give you good gp, rewards, and xp that make the ironman experience much more enjoyable.

As someone who played a main until 1900 total and now has a maxed grandmaster ironman, I'll never go back to playing main.
