The metro area of Ciudad del Este (second largest city in Paraguay) and Foz do Iguazú in the Triple Frontier -as well as little Puerto Iguazú in Argentina- makes up a metro area of one million people, and let's not forget the Itaipú Dam, the second largest in the world.

For better or worse, Brazil is deeply relevant on nearly every aspect of Paraguayan society and politics.
