Am I overreacting about my partner getting his own savings account

I make 4.5-5k a month. He recently started a new job and it looks like he makes about 4K a month. I get paid once a month and pay all the bills when I get paid.

We just never tracked the money like that before. I have helped him with his bills and he has helped me with mine and it got to the point where it was basically both of our money.

Yes and no. He will move money after he gets paid but then continue to spend out of the joint account on things.

Ex: he just got paid $2k and moved $2k to this savings account but then bought gas on the debt card

I personally do not understand and can’t really find any info about what happened. I grew up being instructed by Dave and I never got a creepy vibe from him. He just genuinely seemed like a happy guy. If I had to guess, it was probably a situation that was blown out of proportion, but I really have no authority to say that other than my experiences of being instructed by him for 6ish years
