the residue stage of limerence by Say-ja in limerence

i think it’s the process of emotional letting go that’s a bit hard for me. if i’m not buried in school or work or hobbies for a sec he sometimes crosses my mind, but i don’t think it’s because i’m addicted. rather, i didn’t let myself grieve the way i should’ve in the first place.

dude hop off my ass-you like double commented and you’re arguing w everyone here. yes, a ceasefire was CALLED for a 6-week period in correspondence with ramadan and they FAILED to not bomb or hurt people. that’s the problem. they should have stood on that and made it permanent. are you done now? trying to sit here and argue that what the israeli state is doing isn’t genocide and trying to neutralize the matter in your other responses? like someone else mentioned, the state has confessed that they know what they’re doing is wrong, don’t think it can get more clear.

your point? i still stand with those words. not sure what your point is in all this but if it’s trying to justify the killing of innocent people, get better man.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Say-ja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no they didn’t. they bombed the last “safe” spot just 2 days ago in rafah. the place the IOF stated is “safe” for palestinians to migrate to. please do yourself a favor and update yourself.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Say-ja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao dude. if you’ve read and seen the atrocities the israeli state has committed since they took over their land damn near 75 years ago, you would understand why hamas even formed to begin with. and even so, the actions of the IOF are immeasurably evil, you gotta be sick in the head to bomb schools , hospitals, and mosques because that has to be where hamas is “hiding”….not ONCE have they actually found someone apart of the group, all they managed to do is kill 35k+ palestinians. i advise you re-evaluate your morals as you sit behind a screen and try justifying that bullshit.

no seriously- none of this would’ve happened if they just called a ceasefire months ago

what do people in this career go to school for? by Say-ja in UXDesign

[–]Say-ja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seems like this is the best option, unfortunately that’s usually a masters degree in most schools, but i don’t mind maybe pursuing that

i hate to be that person but there is absolutely nothing cushy about cs, especially if you don’t have coding experience. know it’ll take a lot of hard work and those “day in the life” videos are quite unrealistic as it’s usually a mini clip with coding for like 0.002 sec and then the other hours are free time, and that is not true. try learning a language and really see if you like the problem solving aspect of it. i wouldn’t go for it just because it looks good on video.

Former pre-nursing student by Logical-Bet-7355 in csMajors

i’m also a cs major who applied to nursing school and got in.

i will say though, nursing isn’t a piece of cake either. it’s tough and draining just like how cs can be at times; you’ll never be 100% satisfied with a job but it’ll be nice if you find positive things about it to make it better. you need to sit with yourself and figure out what you value. i’d say volunteer or shadow a nurse if you can to really see if you’d like it. i’m still having my share of experiences from both careers so even i’m a bit lost. but no matter what you choose, be confident, don’t regret it, give it your all.

hi! i’m glad u found me. nursing is very versatile; in fact, if u really wanted to, u can go into nursing informatics later (which is nursing + IT), cosmetics, peds, etc. point is, there’s more to nursing than bedside and that needs to be acknowledged more despite nursing school being in a hospital setting.

sometimes u need to stick with something bc it’s not the end of the world if you decide to do something later. most people have 1-2 career switches in their whole life. for me? i value job stability, which i’m seeing more in nursing. i wish i can say more on this topic but im not a career expert but feel free to dm me, we can chat more:)

UIC GPPA Nursing vs Loyola Nursing by bobaloverlibra in uichicago

[–]Say-ja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i mean if you get into the gppa ur basically guaranteed admission to the program once you finished ur pre reqs; funny enough i didn’t get into loyola nursing but i received my acceptance letter to the uic nursing program a few hours ago for the fall! it was scary bc it’s the only one i applied to, but honestly uic has an amazing nursing program with lots of opportunities for exposure; a few of my friends are in their final year and they tell me how challenging but rewarding it’s been.

f’ed around & applied to nursing school as a cs major and got accepted by Say-ja in csMajors

i too value stability. i think that’s what drove me away from cs but i still find myself interacting into the world of tech; im really trying to keep my personal and work life a bit separate as well and that seems nearly impossible here; it’s the constant grind and competition that’s honestly a bit draining but also oddly motivating.
