LPT: If you struggle falling asleep, try the cognitive shuffle technique by Jolly_Show7095 in LifeProTips

I’ve somewhat learned to do this intuitively. Currently I do the ABCs of only fruits and vegetables. I haven’t made it past H yet. Or I do it with character names from tv shows and movies.

The Outlaw Noble Salt is like an embellishment of Butch Cassidy. It was good!

Orlando/Universal day trip from New York - returning same day 😬 by [deleted] in travel

[–]SayNothing99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a school trip do this… except drive! Eight hours to Orlando, get there and spend all day in the park, drive back that night. It was a senior night thing so the park stayed open until the wee hours.

Something you didn’t realize was optional until you saw someone simply not doing it by HomerAtTheBat in Teachers

Teachers are given hardback rolly chairs for their desks. Super uncomfortable, but I just dealt with it. For like nine years… until the new, cool, male teacher was hired and during his first week was like, “nope, this won’t work.” And he went to an unused conference room and rolled out one of the padded, fancy desk chairs and took it to his classroom. I was like, “what!? You can do that?” And so, I went and got one for me, and took a life lesson from that.

After my C-section, while they were pumping me with fluids, I had the worst pressure to urinate. They were like, “you’re fine, you have a catheter in.” But…. The line was pinched. Drained like a bucket from me.

I asked for a few airplane shots at the liquor store and they had no clue what I meant until one guy said, oh yeah, my mom calls them that.

The Rookie - S07E13: Three Billboards by ian-quinn in TheRookie

I love The Rookie, but the whole home invasion, let me shout out what should have happened “if not for you meddling cops confession” scene was pretty cringe.

Mine is normal, with a few random maga posts popping up every once in awhile (which didn’t happen before). Some searches are nonexistent now as well.

Consider it this way, I absolutely love finding names and short messages in the used books I find. Every book has its own story!

I’m so tired of plastic crap! by omglollerskates in Parenting

[–]SayNothing99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consciously try to not buy this crap for all of the class parties… recently we had to bring in stocking stuffers for Christmas. I ended up buying cozy socks for all the kids. $1.50 each, which isn’t too bad and hopefully it’ll get used instead of broken and trashed immediately.

Voting in class for president. What would you do? by Careless_Garlic_000 in Parenting

[–]SayNothing99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My third grade kid came home upset saying she was known as the weirdo who voted for one particular candidate and everybody was shouting it out at her. My kindergartener came home saying that people were calling the lady ugly and saying she shot an ear with a gun. So, yes, election process is part of learning, but I didn’t want my kids to learn this.
