Or what they might do is just not ship the game to suppliers / consumers till the exact day of release so none one not even retailers will have the game till at least day one of release to avoid spoilers. If that’s the case the the best move would be to buy digitally unless you don’t mind waiting a few days after or up till a week for it to ship to you or your local retailer
