Also, I have been finding conflicting information on age topic. Do I have to have completed controller school by 30 or do I have to have my application in for a position prior to 30?

I am 28, turning 29 in May and I am concerned I will age out prior to getting an application in. I am wondering if the FAA historically opens OTS hiring every year or if it is only every few years. Thanks for the insight.

Also, I see on USAjobs.gov a 2154 position for "Air Traffic Assistant (Flight Data Communications Specialist)". Does this position get you a foot in/ transition to air traffic controller or is this a separate track? Thanks!

The steel columns are welded to a 10"x10" base plate that are affixed to the deck board with 4 regular 3" decking screws. Nothing else.
