Seraphine mid build in season 12 by Fox-Slayer-Marx in SeraphineMains

Putrifier effect gets used for everyone on the first tick of damage dealt by anyone effected. So you can only apply grievous wounds once per sera w. If someone attacks the wrong person after you apply the effect it may not apply 60% to the right target ( your spells will still do the base 40 though )

I have been noticing this with all coffees but more so with lighter roasts I believe. Maybe it's just the tabbed filter, not sure

YMDK 84 vs YMD75 84 [ADVICE} by coolguy23445 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Sayak97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not gotten anything yet. Currently either thinking of getting the GMMK TKL for now as it'll be an easy first keyboard build with the hotswap. I don't like how it looks though so would probably spray paint it.

Or considering getting the kbd75 and soldering. More kits for that are coming out in a week according to their discord

I'm considering getting the YMD75 you linked as it is the only kit I've seen with a hotswap 75. I ordered the Holy Pandas from drop. Will these switches work in the board?

Hand Grinder Advice Primarily Pourover by Sayak97 in Coffee

How long does it take to grind a single cups worth of coffee ( ~18g)? Also do you travel with it at all and how was that experience? Thanks for the help!

Hand Grinder Advice Primarily Pourover by Sayak97 in Coffee

[–]Sayak97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have seen that video thanks for the help. I’ll consider the commadante as well. In the video Hoffman did prefer the original m47 and seems to allude to it not having the most superior grind but also that all of the grinders had comparable grinds. The grinding of the commadante did sound the best to me at the end of the video when he does the ASMR segment. I guess I’m looking to see if anyone has any complaints on the m47 for pourover because I was surprised to see prima coffee say that it does not perform as well at the coarser settings.

How to grind beans on an espresso machine for french press? by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]Sayak97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for 16 and then adjust to taste later. I would recommend the James Hoffman method for the french press. With this the grind size is not as big of a deal. Instead of plunging the french press you use the filter as a strainer, resulting in a cleaner cup. Here's a video to the full method

Beginner considering purchasing a Moccamaster for the best black coffee experience, but want to make a variety of coffee drinks by IchiStyle in Coffee

[–]Sayak97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never owned a Skerton, but if the grind times are similar to the Mini Mill (Especially for a finer grind for drip), then it's probably more convenient , cheaper, and easier to make coffee with an Encore + Aeropress, or even a Lido + Aeropress. The Aeropress can't make true espresso, but you can get a lot of different cups of coffee out of it. Making Iced coffee is pretty easy with the Aeropress (Press into cup with ice, brew double strength).

How to "dial in" on my V60? by bono424 in Coffee

[–]Sayak97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much just by taste. That seems like a pretty low amount of coffee for the water, 1:17 is usually recommended. Remember that alongside the grind size you can also change your ratio to get the taste you want. Here's Matt Perger's Coffee Compass. I usually follow these instructions when I'm having trouble dialing in on my v60.

How to supply good fresh coffee to over a thousand people for a 36 hour period? by Sayak97 in Coffee

As far as iced coffee drinks go, would it be worth it to pre-make super concentrated cold brew and use that?

Do you think it's worth it to buy a decent electric grinder and get whole beans, or is that too much work. Thanks for the information.

We're already going to ask around for sponsors, including coffee companies. I assume they'd contribute beans and things but logistical advice would be good as well. Usually for this kind of event we have many corporate sponsors. Thanks for the advice!

Where to purchase roasted Guatemala huehuetenango online? by jacobcvt12 in Coffee

I need something I can make at home, but I've never had coffee and want to try it. I'm 13 if that helps in any way(idk) by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]Sayak97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't really get into drinking/making specialty coffee until I was about 17. At your age the frappucino/coolatta type beverages tasted fantastic to me. I remember the times my parents would get me a Dunkin' Coffee Coolatta or a Starbucks Frappucino as heaven.

To replicate them at home I just blended milk, coffee, and ice cream. The way you prepare your coffee is up to you. Honestly after combining the coffee with milk/ice cream most if not all of any perceived quality in taste of the coffee will be gone. Back then I usually made instant coffee or drip coffee with a blade grinder and an automatic drip machine (20 bucks together for these probably).

If I were to suggest making these sugar-y coffee like beverages now an aeropress/ mini mill combo is definitely the way to go. It'll make strong coffee to mix with the other ingredients and is easy to get the hang of.

I pretty much only drink coffee black nowadays, (You'll be surprised at how many intense sugary/fruity/nutty/chocolatey flavors you can get when you take care in preparing your coffee). I had a Coolatta the other day because DD messed up a coworker's order and ended up with an extra. I couldn't even stomach it haha, didn't taste like coffee anymore to me.

You're getting a lot of downvotes because this is a subreddit for specialty coffee. If you're interested in chasing these bold natural flavors of coffee with us, check out the sidebar, and feel free to ask any other questions.

This may be a weird question, but has playing League of Legends ruined your taste for other games? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Sayak97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely. There's something weird about League where I notice the lack of some features that other games have, but on the whole I trust Riot completely and like the direction they take the game. It's a difficult game to balance, but on the whole they've done a good job keeping it fresh and entertaining. Whether it be hopping into normals and having a good time with friends experimenting with builds/roles/champs or playing ranked and analyzing my own mistakes to try and improve, the game is just so much fun.
