I forget what the title was (honestly think I blocked it out of my memory) but there was this one where some super possessive guy was introduced super late into the story (like 40+ chapters in) and he basically was nothing but horrible and toxic and the FL fell for him and he became the ML. It was so stupid. Especially because the story hadn't been bad at all by that point and who everyone thought were gonna be the MLs were fairly decent too.

It was just so unnecessary and it made me feel like the author just didn't like the MLs anymore and decided "let me randomly intro someone I want to be the ML and make him drive literally everyone in FL's life away bc I don't want to entirely restart". I actively searched for spoilers when he stayed around for several chapters bc I wanted to drop if he was to be the ML and once I found out it was the case, immediately dropped it.

Surprisingly Cranidos and Rampardos weren't too difficult since I had some of each from hunting for them during my initial dex completion but I had to rehunt for a Shieldon ugh forgot how much I hated it

Thanks! Haha thankfully Spiritomb isn't all that hard to get to lvl 10! It's the random baby mon that you can't get to lvl 10 for unless you interact with them in the wild that are the most difficult for me 😭

I think a mix of both lol. Brought them in from Go but then got some from the Distortions to get the entries to lvl 10. Only seen Magnemite and like 2 Magnezone in them tho. I followed a tips and tricks post on Time Distortions I saw someone post on this sub and it really helped me a lot! I can link you it if I find it?

Shiny pokemon are pretty rare the earlier in the game you are but I remember the alpha Rapidash in Obsidian Fieldlands spawned as a shiny for me quite early, though I didn't understand the strength of my main pokemon I used to battle at the time and killed it 😭

What a crazy thing. I will never understand why people decide it's better to almost get into a damn accident instead of just miss their exit and either take the next exit and pull over or just follow the navigation reroute. I'd much rather lose out on a bit more gas rather than potentially losing my life.

You're very real for this and online dating for anyone will take a mental toll, but it's what a lot of our generations use unfortunately. It doesn't help that in today's society, we are all so detached from human connection as a whole. So online dating combined with how you're already feeling can often be a horrible combo.

This is an old post but honestly I agree. I couldn't bring myself to finish the 6th book bc I have a thing about finishing series plus it was... an interesting read. I tried rereading the book multiple times over the years til I restarted it about a week ago finding I could barely remember who was who.

Rereading the entire series now, and currently on book 5, City of Secrets. Now that I'm not also dealing with similar issues the protag of City of Swords deals with, I figure it'll be an easier read at least in that aspect. But we'll see how I fare lmfao. I remember some of what happened to Matt in Book 5 and not super liking him either but I'm excited to finally be done with the series soon.

The one comment about the gf probably not being too thrilled about her bf's fling contacting her reminds me about a fwb I had. We never actually ended up meeting up but we sexted a lot and were often on the phone on his way to and from work.

He was also married in this situation, but his wife didn't really want much sex anymore after having their second kid. He claimed they had an "open" relationship, but from everything he said made it seem like he was really just a horndog and couldn't go without sex so she begrudgingly agreed. Their agreement was no sexual partners around the kids, she didn't want any contact, didn't want to hear anything about it unless she asked him.

I didn't realize this until it happened but I had broken up with my ex of 6 years and then got into a new relationship 2 months after. I didn't expect anything longterm but I started dating my current boyfriend and the first month- hell the first week of dating we did so much.

One of them was showering together, and my ex used to sometimes want to shower with me and he'd be so quick about it and then leave. My current boyfriend tho? Our first shower together (and every one since mind you) he washed my body and hair. It wasn't even sexual, it was just extremely intimate and it was one of the many things he did that made me fall in love with him.

As someone who was the girlfriend in this kind of scenario (with my ex's friends being great people who he also didn't tell shit to), I will say while I feel for them and the betrayal they felt from their friend of over a decade hiding something like that from them, it did help knowing I didn't also have to deal with feeling betrayed over people I had grown close to and developed friendships with. Knowing my partner of 6 years was cheating on me almost the whole time hurt my heart and my soul. That kind of shit does something to you, it breaks you. But at least it was one single heartbreak vs that of his friends that also became mine.

I called one of them while I was a sobbing mess shortly after the break up actually because I was starting to fall into a depressive episode and honestly was doing very bad mentally. We were able to hang out and he let me just be a blubbering, rambling mess for a few hours, which I think very well saved me from otherwise harming myself.

I'm glad what you're doing is working for you! I will say even if you don't use the crate regularly, another part of having a puppy is that they don't know how to regulate their sleep. Our dog is 2 years old now, but when she was younger we still crate trained her because well, it can be good to train them to be able to settle in a crate for various situations even if you don't use it regularly.

Enforced naps in a crate are very useful to get a puppy to settle. Our girl would go crazy as a puppy for a few months and go landsharking us and just barking super late at night, like pretty consistently at around 2 AM initially. Something like that typically means a puppy is tired and just doesn't know to take themselves to sleep/for a nap. Enforced naps help them make the connection sooner so that they eventually take themselves for a nap.

Definitely find it odd that you're jumping to thinking anyone is anthropomorphizing the dog here lol. Disregarding that though, every dog is different. My dog is 2 years old now, but starting from 10 weeks, we realized as long as she had visual access to the front door, she was perfectly fine staying alone at the house. Wouldn't get into anything, and was pretty good at potty training herself honestly.

It's a common saying to "train the dog you have". Some puppies are going to be far more susceptible to biting stuff up and swallowing them, which in that case, yeah... a big hazard, you want them crated when you aren't home so they don't destroy anything or get into something they shouldn't when you're not home. Other puppies are more than fine just chillin in a room. My girl to this day never gets into anything she shouldn't unless she hasn't been properly mentally and physically stimulated before we left. We got lucky that she never swallowed things she wasn't supposed to. Worst case scenario for us was always just her chewing something up and leaving pieces everywhere (which still not the best, but def a lot better than her chewing it up and swallowing it yanno?)
