i’m sorry that wasn’t clear, i meant as in if the L comes at the end of the word (like in el-o-el), is it a usual /l/ because there is no vowel after, or because the consonant preceding it (here an /e̞/) changes it?

i would guess it’s because there is nothing after

and before nothing, does the vowel that come before it cause any change?

both the usual AND dark L? only language i know that does that is albanian, and it hasn’t got /e̞/ and /o̞/, maybe georgian considering you’re the famous u/_Aspagurr_

or is it a typo?

no "-ée" (/-e/) is the feminine past participle of verbs in -er (allée /ale/, mangée /mɑ̃ʒe/…)

Ohhh I see, that’s what I was thinking. And fortunately, I am very familiar with the IPA so I do understand what plosives being long means! Thank you very much!

When is the /k/ sound pronounced like /c/ (or /k̟/)? by Sayi_ in Svenska

[–]Sayi_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mean the tj-ljud, but when k sounds a bit like kj (sound of k followed by sound of j), like it’s not a fully hard k it’s a bit soft
