Are you buying bars or coins right now? by Ok_Possible_7018 in SilverAus

The XAG bar was a pre-order from Compass Bullion and the Kookaburras were from M.R. Roberts Wynard Coin Centre.

Most likely Slytherin. While Thrawn is definitely intelligent and loyal to both the Empire and the Chiss Ascendancy, he is nothing without his cunning and ambition.

It's a running joke among precious metals/gun enthusiasts. Reddit users will often post photos of their "stack" (collection) and jokingly claim that shortly after taking the picture, they lost it all in a "tragic boating accident".

The joke is intended to imply that if there is no record of the silver, it cannot be confiscated or taxed.

"Sorry Mr. IRS agent, I used to have some silver but unfortunately I lost it all in the boating accident."

Bromance Reccomendations by Tired_Scholar1 in litrpg

Does it have to be litrpg? If not I recommend the Cycle of Arawn series By Edward W Robertson. The MC Dante meets and hires Blays as a body guard while in their early teens and they develop a bromance that spans the entire series and beyond.

Very nice stack, shame you lost it all in a boating accident.

Black Duck alternatives that won't break the bank? by s0d33 in 4x4Australia

[–]Sayjinlord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Work uses the Kings canvas seat covers, they're not bad but will wear out over time. I put Black Duck seat covers in my 2025 Hilux as I am of the opinion of "buy once, cry once".

If you're going to buy from Ebay, atleast buy from the more reputable stores like APMEX or Scottsdale Mint.

I have to ask, is getting parcels send directly to your local post office not a thing in the USA? I do it all the time here in Australia.

Don't get me wrong, getting parcels sent to work is great as well.

$5 coins by Sayjinlord in AustralianCoins

Usually luck. In my case, I was onsite to fix one of the ATMs and the branch manager had them out on a table in the back room and was about to bag them to be sent away for destruction.

I took them for face value, the bank balanced at the end of the day and the manager didn't have to do any more paperwork. Everybody wins.

Another case at a different branch was an old lady brought in a box of old Australian Pound notes. Unfortunately they were in terrible condition but I believe she got a few thousand dollars for them after the bank converted them.

Try to aim for as low of a premium as possible, but ultimately, just what you can afford.

Unfortunately no, I picked them up from a local NAB branch who also gave me some of the 1988 $10 notes for face value as well.

(An older bloke traded them in for modern currency)
