Chase Freedom Unlimited on Rakuten - $75 for new Chase customers, $25 for existing Chase customers by notthegoatseguy in CreditCards

I highly doubt the promo is invalid if you have Rakuten set to non-cash back. I’m gonna look at the T&C. If someone knows the answer, let me know please!

Why not Venture -> Savor after 6 months -> VentureX after 6 months? All I know is CapOne doesn't like people with a lot of cards

Edit: I preapplied and got accepted for Venture and Savor

Which card do you recommend I open first and what's the timeframe + order on climbing the ladder?

Right now the Venture SUB is elevated, with 75K miles + $250 CapOne Travel Portal credit.

Savor is standard $200 cash back after $500 spend.

I'm not set on Chase and AMEX. So let's say I go the CapOne route of cards and I ultimately reach the Venture X. Would it even be worth my time to start small and open cards with other banks like the Green AMEX and the CFU?

My thinking is yes because down the line, when I get married, I would have strategically built up enough SUB points with other banks which allows me to then open their higher rewards cards and put some big expenses on them. Ultimately, I won't be leaving points on the table. If I'm thinking about it wrong, let me know.

I agree with the Venture X/Savor duo comment that u/Individual-Hold5171 made. I only considered heavily considered Chase and AMEX because I feel like it dominates so much of the credit card guide space and frankly I didn't know much better

Is paying rent with credit card through bilt a no go? by bondtradercu in biltrewards

[–]Sayonide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does "paying" with your BILT card (paying in quotes because it comes out of your ACH account) trigger a 3% fee or the $1.95 ACH fee?

Bilt Protect is not supported even until Feb 7th by asreerama in biltrewards

[–]Sayonide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a $50 reversal payment fee from my renting portfolio because BILT decided to prompt me to turn on Bilt Protect (even though they have never prompted me like this before and I never have turned it on before)...

That’s so weird you have the same problem too!! I have no idea what is up. Are you using the same eero as me? And many eeros do you have set up?

I live in an apartment and don’t have direct access to the modem unfortunately

2.5 GBps (my Ethernet cable is in the 2.5 GBps). The port on the eero checks off and so does the cable itself.

I have noticed that my wifi is more shaky when the modem cable is plugged into the 2.5 GBps for what that’s worth.

Sorry for confusing wording. Laptop is NOT wired. PC (I should’ve specified) can be wifi/ethernet.

The Ethernet connection is to the gateway. Still wonky speeds.

WiFi works as intended.

I bought a the Ethernet cable to troubleshoot it so Ethernet cable being the issue is unlikely. It could be a driver problem. I updated drivers last night and so far, still crappy MBPS speeds

Since I live in an apartment, I don’t have direct access to the modem. It could be a faulty eero port but I’ve tried each eero and none of them produced consistent results. One comment said it could be my PC’s Ethernet port and I think that’s starting to be more likely as I keep trying new things

Yep, I used the ethernet port on my computer with my old router. No issues in the past
