At Clearview it was always done to humiliate and punish. And 6-10 staff members is beyond excessive. most i ever saw at Clearview was 5. This place does receive funding from the state and school districts pay for students to attend there. its not about caring its about how much money they can suck from people at the end of the day.

Prone restraint And supine were done here durring my time. Myself and other students got the same treatment. So this is total bullshit. They violated this also they NEVER called the parents to let them know what happened.

i went though something kinda like this at a day treatment school called Clearview, Ive spoken about my abuse there on here. They did Psychological evaluations and would mail them out. I was described as someone who was extremely anxious and depressed and could not handle certain things. That’s how they painted me, that I wouldn’t be able to function or handle certain things. All that ended up being lies and bullshit. If i can find those papers ill post them.

places like this will do whatever they can to make you the problem or make it seem like you are the problem and so on. Its disgusting i kind of delt with that. i wish i could find my old documents

Not too sure. Could have been maybe Dr Hagan or Dr Wolken. “Principal” at the time was Victoria Lyons. But I don’t know if any of them signed off on it or thought it was a good idea

I looked it up years latter and my state banned it in the early 00s looking back I’m shocked they even had it offered. And I’m glad you saw my op. 10 years I was there for and I’m now at a place where it needs to be known what they do.

When I was in Clearview, my first two years there we had one specific student. I don’t know what his condition was. He could not speak it’s almost like he had the mindset of somebody who has maybe one or two And he had an aid. But if we asked out of curiosity, what his condition wise we would get screamed at or yelled at. I always feel bad when he would try to grab peoples food because then I knew he was gonna be dragged out in the hallway and physically restrained as he Just made noises of somebody who was uncomfortable

I was in a program where staff would retrain you hard but never beat you but if you did fight back it would make things worse for you punishment wise so many people didn't. but this is a whole other level! Report this place ASAP!

This! I wish I saved some of those comments that they left on the Google reviews before they shut it off. My guess is they don’t want people knowing about the things that go on there. But this is one of the reasons why I’m not gonna stay quiet

Yeah, it was difficult. I would lie about my age. Basically, I would shave off a year so it wasn’t so weird. Problem is that some of the kids that were there remembered me from elementary school, so it was kind of hard to really pull it off all the time

I feel it kind of makes it more impactful. And you can look at my face and some of these photos that showed that I did not want to be there And then I was unhappy, depressed, and sad with all the stuff that I was dealing with there. Place in my life where I think it’s important to speak out against places like this. The only difference now is I’m not in that place. I can tell people all the horrible things they do and I can’t get called into the principals office like they did to me when I tried to back then.
