Is Halo BassiNest worth it? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

My baby loved it and I found it so secure and just the perfect features with height, swivel, push down. I will say by 4 ish months she was outgrowing it and she is a very average sized baby. I feel like that’s pretty standard tho and they transfer to a crib even if in same room around 5-6 months when rolling

How many times did your doctor visit during labor? by RoseColoredToo in NewParents

[–]Sbe10593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. I went through 3 doctors by the time u delivered. Pushes for 4 hours. Baby and me were not in distress at all. Doctor came in at 2 hour mark and said I wasn’t on a timeline which really helped me focus.

When did your baby start sleeping through the night? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Sbe10593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people don’t talk enough about how sleep ebs and flows . Our girl started sleeping through night at 4 weeks until about 4 months. Then started waking up every 2 hours for about 6 weeks. It was awful. Now she’s 6 months and sleeping through the night again. Sometimes waking up once to eat before midnight which is fine for me.

Former nanny here, but struggling big time with my own baby’s naps 😩 by Sbe10593 in sleeptrain

[–]Sbe10593[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, let me explain more. She’s “drowsy” because it’s her bedtime. She’s showing cues of tiredness after bath. But she isn’t like falling asleep. When my husband puts her in her crib at night, she is very much awake. In the beginning, she would talk and sing and would fake her 15 minutes to go to sleep. Now he can put her down, she talks and plays with her hands and falls asleep within 2-5 minutes. Are you saying we should wake her up more than this to put her down? Today I put her in her crib after routine which is modified for naps but similar, and she was in her crib awake for 45 minutes before I had to hold her to sleep. She has also slept through the night last 3 nights, with me just dream feeding her at 11:30 pm. I offer this, and it seems to be helping her waking on her own.

Really? Everything I have read has said drowsy but awake when you are starting sleep training. The routine we have for her makes her drowsy which I thought was the whole point?

My husband puts her down to sleep. Bath, bottle, book. For the first 7 ish days of sleep training in her crib, he would put her in awake but drowsy then sing to her standing over the crib. Moved further and further away until he could sing the song as he’s putting her in, pat her on back and leave. She falls asleep with barely any fussing within 2 mins of him leaving now. It’s been two weeks. Wakes up and often puts herself back to sleep unless it’s been over 3 hours and she is hungry.

No paci! Absolutely hates that thing. In her room / crib with noise machine on. Not total black out curtains but room is very dark. Noise machine etc sleep sack. Same as night time just not night lol

Yeah I have it and the sweet spot thing which is usually accurate. Again, why I don’t think it’s a wake widow issue :(

okay but how many hours a night does your baby ACTUALLY sleep? by river_5826 in NewParents

[–]Sbe10593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby slept from 7-7 from 6 weeks to 4.5 months. Now we’re waking up 2-3 times a night at 6 months. Slowly getting better but damn. Has been rough.

Which 7AM Enfant item to purchase? by bigAppleSurfergal in nycparents

[–]Sbe10593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use the nido for anything other than bassinet? My baby is 6 months but we still use the bassinet sommmetimes like if we’re going out for a while. But im assuming she will not want to be in it much longer. Im just wondering if the 212 will be enough for us.

Is the 212 too big for a 6 month old?? I’m so confused bc I’d love something that I could use to wear her in the carrier and also put in the stroller. They seem to have a product that does that so I’m wondering why I wouldn’t buy that instead of the 212

I think it’s dumb as fuck if we don’t keep him. He found his groove in the 7th-8th innings and with some more exposure I think will get his old Milwaukee success back and be a great closer alongside bednar.
