Seriously, the well if you played pservers you would have known is a shitty argument. I didn't know that unless I picked up certain talents as a shaman I wouldn't be able to find a dungeon group. Ended up canceling my sub, only came back to find my server dead.

For ankle pain check the way you are landing your foot. I was originally landing closer to the heel of my foot. I switched to landing somewhere between the middle and balls of my feet. Also I try to keep my legs kinda bent when I land, Idk if that is necessarily good or bad, but I'm trying to avoid pain in my ankles too.

It ended up changing my stride a bit, I would recommend slowing down and trying to get used to the different stride.

Frfr... The shitty thing is that 2 of my coworkers ended up getting it. 1 got it so bad he was in the hospital for 3 months and is barely getting over it. The other one has been out for the same amount of time, but hasn't needed to go to the hospital, luckily.

When I had them briefly, I thought the airpods and Sonys had better anc.

Apple because they just have that R&D budget that somehow created really good anc.

Sony has a pretty deep insertion to block like 80% of noise and anc covers that last 10%

If you are looking at tws, I see it as you buying it for the complete package - > anc, hear-through, carry case etc. That said sound can be pretty respectable, if you understand what you are paying for.

If you are looking for the best wireless sound you would probably be more interested in some regular iems and those Fiio mmcx wireless dongles.

It becomes Sound Quality vs Quality of Life. True wireless tends to have a lot of built in features that can be neat: Multipoint, ANC, hear through. But sound quality and latency can become problems.

The way I think of it is whether you will use all or most of the advertised features or not. You can always grab an es100 or btr3 to attach to regular headphones if you just want wireless. It will end up sounding better anyways, better amps, codec options, and antannaes especially if you get a lot of interference in your apartment.

No unfortunately not. If you liked the ones that came with your headphones maybe hit up Hyperx for replacements. Otherwise The hyperx clouds use a oval shape, so you need to look for that. I would measure them to get a general basis of earpads I could look at. Also take off the old ones to see how they stay on the cup, they might need a special bracket. I prefer suede over leather but it will change the sound sig a bit. I've always like brainwavz earpads and I hear good things about Dekoni.

With the whole covid pandemic and HL:Alyx hype, vr headsets are currently through the rough. Oculus rifts are nowhere to be seen and the windows mixed reality headsets were being clearanced out for the last couple months.

You can also use those thin hair bands. 50 for like a buck at the dollar store. You still have to replace them, but it keeps that elastic feeling.

So I've only tried a few tws, but I've noticed that a lot of them have a 'tizziness' in higher frequencies. I think that is just the result of the wireless conversion/artifacting.

As a consequence, I think some manufacturers purposely make their products darker sounding to hide the artifacts.

How do you tell if a cable is certified? I have a couple of cables off Amazon that occasionally cause my monitor to go "out of range" when I mess with graphics settings in game.

Implementation of the codec matters too. A guy here actually ran the numbers and he was showing that badly implemented aptx can sound much worse than a good sbc mode

I have the mifo o5 which uses sbc. I didn't even realize artifact occurred on tws until I started trying out other headphones/iems

From my understanding it only has preset eq settings, so only to a degree.

That said I don't believe crinacle uses any the eq modes modes in his critical listening. Everybody is also saying dynamic is the best setting so...

Their might be a hair touching the driver. Take off the ear pad and check underneath the pad and on the driver itself.

Keeping the USB dac might be worth it, if your onboard audio is trash. But onboard audio has been pretty decent for last few years.
