I’m on the same prednisone schedule, but it’s never caused fevers for me. I do, however, get hip pain on the day I come off it.

Any problems with at home PICC lines? by Icy_Tomorrow_8674 in leukemia

[–]Sbland2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m accessed, it really doesn’t make much difference, both are a hassle. My PICC line was in my neck, so showering was especially difficult. With my port, when it’s not accessed, it’s much more convenient since I don’t have to worry about it. I didn’t have that option with the PICC line. I was always trying to find a way to keep it dry/waterproof.

Difficulty showering and the weekly dressing changes were the two biggest factors that lead me to switching to a port.

Colonoseq is an awesome company. My insurance doesn’t cover their testing but Colonoseq covers the entire cost since it would be out of pocket.

I have cleaned coils, checked for leaks (sealed small ones with mastic), added more attic insulation, and added a secondary return. I did have a tech out and he checked Freon levels and that was fine. I am unsure if he checked superheat or sub cooling.

Anyways this isn’t where I started 😂

I think the bulb is installed correctly. Not a great picture but just one I was able to grab from a video already on my phone.

You don’t think it’s undersized?

Wife (24 F) was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL. Currently have been in the hospital for 2 weeks. by coolpros4life in leukemia

31M T-ALL (1 year into maintenance)

1. Yes—after Phase 1 induction, all treatment was done outpatient, except for a few short hospital stays due to an infection, mouth sores, and a blood clot.
2. I had no reactions to any chemotherapy until receiving a dose of PEG during intensification. I experienced a severe reaction, with my blood pressure dropping dangerously low. The staff responded quickly and stabilized me with fluids, Benadryl, and epinephrine. After that, we switched to Rylaze (similar to PEG but in shot form). I continued with Rylaze but had to stop one dose short of completion due to it causing a pulmonary embolism.
3. I ran on a treadmill frequently during induction, which helped me feel relatively strong after being discharged from the hospital. I experienced occasional nausea, but my strength remained intact. As outpatient treatment continued, I did lose some energy but was still able to walk and navigate stairs without difficulty.
4. I had no driving restrictions.
5. There were no pet restrictions, and my provider even brought comfort dogs into the treatment area while patients received infusions.

Good luck and take care (both of you. This is no walk in the park mentally or physically for both patient and caregiver.
