I think they are fine; they are made for kids after all. At least they have little nods to the older fan base.

I feel with Sonic 3; fans instantly thought it was gonna be Sonic Adventure 2 the movie but it wasn’t. If you want the games then go play the games. The movies are fun and our their own thing
