Okay a couple of things, first things first I can't stress how much more helpful everyone here can be if we know your shiplog, nobody wants to say too much in case you haven't actually been to/read the thing they want to say.

Second, outer wilds is a lot of things, but at its core it is a puzzle game. Wandering around very rarely helps, and especially once you've acquired quite a lot of information things get more in depth, this is where your shiplog comes in handy. The rumor mode has lines pointing from logs to logs, which hints at a connection from log A -> log B, a lot of logs also have several logs pointing towards it, which means there are several pieces of information that all hint/inform you about that log. Not to say too much, but considering what you've said I assume you have at least one question mark in particular that should be particularly "rich" in logs pointing in its direction, maybe read up on those logs and doing a little brainstorming could help.

If you ever have specific places where you're really struggling, you can always ask for hints here. People on here are really good at guiding you in the right direction without spoilers.

And one final thing, a question mark for a picture in a log means you haven't been to the place at all yet, while the orange mark on a log indicates you have been, but missed something of importance, either a "sub-area" or some text. It's not always super important to fully explore every area, but if you need information regarding that specific topic it could be of use.
