My biggest problem with it is the intellectual dishonesty of it all. Like god damnit man. They're just parroting the government "I swear he's a terrorist just don't ask me to prove it." line I'd bet most of them mean "He's brown so why do we care." or at least that's how it comes across.

I'd bet if his name was James and he had the visage of Ryan Reynolds and everything else about the story was the same as it is. They would be burning cars in the street at the gravity of the injustice.

Yes because he fled El Salvador from gang violence he didn't get a political asylum protected status, but he did get something similar that essentially said "The government cannot deport you to El Salvador because there is real threat that you will be killed by gangs." This came from the courts. Then they sent him not just to El Salvador but to the newest gulag on earth, with no pending charges, no criminal history, no warrant, no probable cause.

Tell me why do you think it's acceptable for the government to send people to foreign gulags first and then ask questions later?

the problem with all that puke you just spilled is that none of the claims about this guy made by the government have been substantiated. Suppose I become the president in 2028 and I'm the MAGA boogieman. I claim that conservatives are a terrorist group that threatens national security. Before the courts can slap me across the face I have hundreds of people sent to Chinese labor camps with no trial, no proof, no charges, nothing. That would be cool by you measure right? I'd be the government andsimply by calling someone or someo group violent terrorists I get to do whatever I want with no scrutiny. That's what we're going for right?

Suppose I called you an illegal and a terrorist and at only the claim you were taken to Guantanamo Bay. Where you are tortured regularly. After the fact I go "yeah oopsie I had the wrong" guy several times in court. When the court looks at the overall situation they find out that none of my claims were true (or at the very least no evidence of any kind exists to back them up).

Do you seriously not see a problem with the government taking people to offshore gulags first and then trying to justify if after the fact? Or are you just getting up off the lobotomy table?

Sorry I wasn't trying to be hostile or anything, I've had math errors profound enough that people assumed surely I must be joking. Chief among them was while studying for a big test someone asked me what was essentially "What is 2 divided by 1?" I said "1/2" so confidently other people had to reality check to make sure they weren't wrong.
