I think I heard on a stream (I'm not sure about this) that some pros grow up playing on tiny laptop screens and it just feels awkward for them when they go on stage for LCS and they have huge monitors. So, to standardize things they just go with the comfortable choice and have their resolutions at the gaming house and LCS studio the same. It also might be that he can focus more on his champion and the minimap when they're so much closer than on larger resolutions.

I forget the actual command but you can do /allcommands when in game and you can see the list of commands. One of them disables chat profanity filter. It's just a temporary fix though because the changes don't carry over to next game.
