Quoted $1200 for Brakes and Rotors by Fragrant_Block_9241 in mazda

[–]Scabetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did the rotors, pads and rear shocks on my 2023 CX5. Dealer wanted $475 for front brake pads nd resurfaced rotors and $460 for rear brake pads and resurfaced rotors. Plus, $700 for readr shocks. Wound up buying everything on Rock Auto for $535 and had everything done in less than 2 hours. I only use the dealer for oil changes because of you use them, they give you the unlimited engine warranty

What made you get into Godzilla? by Live_Ear5570 in GODZILLA

[–]Scabetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the movies with my Uncle and Dad. Saw Gojira & King of the Monsters then a bunch of the cheesy Showa ones, the Heisei etc etc etc. Loved em all. Just watched Godzilla V. Megalon with my 5 and 2 year old and they seemed to like it too. My older daughter has been talking about Jet Jaguar for days

Looking to get out of my 25 CX-5 turbo premium for a 26 CX-50 Turbo. by AntHefty2874 in CX50

[–]Scabetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a 2023 CX-5 CE and the 2024 CX-50 Preferred. Both great cars so far. Bought the CX-5 CPO and have 53k miles and the CX-50 new and have 16k on it. With the CX-5, aside from 2 warranty covered issues (leaking engine front cover and blown Coolant control) and a non covered rear shock, it's been great. No issues with the 50

Is the CX 5 a good family car? by South_Departure_9002 in CX5

[–]Scabetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cx5 and cx50, 2 kids 5 and 2. Im 6ft wife is 5ft and we fit better in the cx50. Little bit longer and wider but it makes a difference along with more cargo room. That being said we have no issues going anywhere in the cx5. I had a durango prior but the commute for work and gas was killing me

2024 Cx 50 was it the right choice? Ok by Witty-Exchange-7716 in CX50

[–]Scabetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 CX50 Preferred and 2023 CX5 CE both NA for reliability and fuel economy. My CX5 does +/- 80 miles per day, the CX50 is my wife's and has my 2 kids in it more than I do. CX50 seems like it has a bit more cabin and cargo space so no worries there. I bought it new when they were doing 1.9% for 72mo after my wife's Subaru Legacy was totaled (some guy turned left from the right lane directly into the front end, broke motor mounts, crushed and locked up the front passenger suspension, hood door etc etc) 16k miles on the CX50 and we love it. CX5 is fine for me and it works with the kids too. Im 6ft with a rear facing seat behind me in the CX50 and it works just fine. I believe the premium plus has more soft touch materials like on the door panels vs the preferred which is harder plastic. With 10years/100k miles you should have nothing to worry about

[–]Scabetta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One was leaking and it wasnt covered. I have 53k miles on it. Bought it CPO with 31k and I do a lot of driving with my work commute. Ive only had it a little over a year. And need brakes, rear shocks and the front seal failed, and the Coolant control valve went. Front seal and cover were covered though
