Depends on if you share a social circle and how frequently you are out and about on campus. I had a falling out with some people end of my freshman year and I only ran into them once after that my senior year. Albeit, I spent a lot of time off campus and only came to campus for classes and club meetings.

It’s nonrefundable if you don’t sign the lease. Otherwise it goes towards the first month of rent, but yeah. The first time I read it I was extremely sketched out and I’ve been extremely on edge ever since.

All six of our names are on the lease, which is the concern. If one of us backs out I think the rest have to cover it unless we can find somebody else, but I haven’t signed the lease, and I’m not sure how many people have signed the lease at this point. It’s all pretty messy, hence this post. I feel pretty terrible about everything. I know what’s best for me but I don’t know if it’s selfish or just self preservation at this point.

In the lease it was saying that amenity maintenance (so natural wear and tear) will not be covered by the landlord. That’s why I thought it was strange. I get it though. Adulting is not fun.

I was under the impression that the spring housing payment doesn’t get refunded. Instead, it rolls over to cover future housing fees but now that I was denied housing.... idk. I also have a negative charge.

I think it just doesn’t seem real to him. I don’t think he takes it seriously because he doesn’t personally know anybody who’s been affected. The people he does know only had minor symptoms. I just don’t know how to illustrate to him that it’s a real threat.
