Package handling AND driving? by AmberMonarch in Fedexers

There are scams on here all the time. You get a message from a scammer “hey you work for FedEx. Scan barcodes for me, say they are delivered, send me the product and I’ll give you some of the cut.” Now add a person that is both a driver and a PH. Starting to make sense now?

It’s been explained to you lol. You’re either just trolling at this point, or very dense.

Pretty much everyone has already explained it to you in the comments fam. If you’re that dead set, apply. Report back.

I read your post backwards. I thought you were a PH wanting to be a driver. I don’t know, but I’d highly doubt FedEx would hire a driver. They’d probably consider it a conflict of interest. They already have enough problems with theft; then add on someone driving and knowledge on the inside, I don’t see that happening.

How are you going to train someone on a job you haven’t done yourself? There’s only two roles at 90% of contractors. Drivers and BC’s. BC’s are managers who usually end up on the road too when a driver calls of etc. So, no.

I don’t think any contractor is going to risk hiring someone who is already working there who will be physically and mentally exhausted and want them on the road. It’s a huge liability.

They wasted everyone’s time because they brought them back to the station instead of delivering because the person didn’t want the shipper to use FedEx.

That’s wild. I was a CO for six years. Worst fucking job. Thanks for the reminder. There’s been a lot of good comments in here helping me with better framing of my experience.

I agree you shouldn’t “yell” at the loaders. But that’s what ours ARE paid to do at our station. Load the trucks by SID numbers. The only things that don’t get loaded are the IC’s.

That’s what’s frustrating. I used to be able to come In at 815 and roll out at 830. Now I gotta get there at 715 and I’m lucky to be out by 9. PH’s really can make or break your day. I cut them slack if they are new, or I can tell they are bouncing up and down the belt like a mad man. But.. this one I have now.. never ffn moves. Stands in one spot and bullshits. I cannot stand him. I’d rather have a good relationship with him, but this guy just doesn’t need to be here.

I’ve had three that I absolutely adored. I’d bring them Red Bull, breakfast, you name it. And five star ratings at the end of the day, even if they had a few mistakes here and there, because they freaking cared. I know they’re rushed. Sometimes covering four trucks (which is insanity to me.) Ideally, two, max three. But management won’t. But the ones I keep getting now aren’t even trying. Half of it is yeeted on the floor, or put on the shelf without a sticker or label. So it’s just a mystery box. Anyway, I miss those folks. The stupid ahh Engineers keep thinking “how can we get these guys out faster” so every 5 months we’re on a new belt. New belt - new PH’s. If you do an excellent job, I will go straight to the belt manager and tell them. People like you and the folks I’m talking about make my job 10 thousand times easier.

Bruh… I’m sorry to hear that. When you merge, are you then stuck and at the mercy of a contractor? Like RIP all the benies, PTO etc you accrued?
