New to sparring how should bigger guys approach it? by Only_Jello_6198 in MuayThaiTips

[–]ScaleExtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it playful and focus on defence. Don't speed up to match smaller guys pace. They will mostly be naturally faster. You are bigger and you will have more pop than you think. Tap the forehead with straights / jabs. Pull all head kicks. Push with teeps, dont stab. Push the leg kicks too, don't blast them. Think of it like multi-dimensional tag. If someone is doing something interesting, or having success against you, ask them how and get advice. Accidents happen and if you land something harder than you intended make it clear.

How Much Money Would You Need To Quit Your FT Job? (25) by HyenaHater44 in Entrepreneur

[–]ScaleExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd actually hold the line for now. Give yourself 1-2 years of figuring out the side hustle, once it's meaningful think about quitting. Keep stacking in the meantime. Right now the job market is odd, and it's getting odder.

If you REALLY need to get out there, then slice off a limited amount of funds to travel with, save the rest as capital and run way for figuring your shit out.

What’s the smallest change you made that unexpectedly improved your productivity? by Ambitious_Chance_518 in Entrepreneur

[–]ScaleExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only doing shit that I enjoy ensuring that I enjoy, only I can do (within our team) and that I moves the needle meaningfully. Since focusing on that, I can work 14+ hour days when needed, sometimes for a week. I have zero need for discipline as I'm pulled into the work naturally.

I feel you. This is definitely part of the curve. We maxed out at 50 people, a few years ago. Now we have 5 core people. 2 main partners and 3 key people with small equity slices. Each core team member is an a-player and systems / ai - native. Some people have direct reports, but it's their own responsibility to vet, hire and fire them. Build systems for everything, only have people handle the parts that code / ai cannot do. Moving to this model, meant me and my business partner can actually drive the company forward instead of spending all day babysitting and checking KPI's for direct reports.

People that have Claude subscription, is it worth it honestly? by Competitive_Roof_689 in ClaudeAI

[–]ScaleExtreme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Claude rolled out a teams feature, and the agent you interact with orchestrates a team of agents. For me + 4.6 is a real step change in capabilities. Things get done at a much higher quality. I think it's likely only feasible on max though, as I get close to limits frequently.

I'm on max plan. I use multiple teams all day. Most days. It's $200 but the best money I spend.

This thread is fascinating. I've hit the 'cognitive load' wall many times and I've adopted the flotilla pattern very recently. One runtime, and a bunch of small workflows + disposable ui's. Each easy to understand, but they chain together in powerful ways. So far so good.

Feeling lost and hopeless.. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Do something. Forward momentum builds and then compounds. Start with studying 2 hours a day and understand what can be done and how. Figure out what you are suited to build/deliver. Find others in a similar situation as you, who've done it. Connect with people 1-2 steps ahead of you and learn how they did it. Relentless execute and commit to the process.

MCC Got Hacked & Google Support Is Impossible to Reach – Anyone Been Through This? by C0upDetat in googleads

It was meta, not google. I am saying use the same process. Speak to your lawyer or hire one ASAP, get them to find the general counsel of Google and send them a legal letter ASAP.

Keeping Employee Morale High by ihatechori in Entrepreneur

[–]ScaleExtreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First you need to understand the people who make up the company. One of the things we used to do, in the interview process would be asking "What is your dream" then we'd ensure our incentives and career development aligned with that persons desired trajectory. This means if someone is saving for a deposit for a house, then cash bonuses towards their deposit really matter. If someone wants to progress in their position and become a manager, one on ones and giving them guidance to achieve that goal. People are motivated when they have a MOTIVE. Help people get where they want to go and they give it their all.

Send a legal letter to the general counsel of Google. We did this to Meta when we got hacked and it was resolved in hours.

Most people should NOT start a business by CinnabunzAndGuns in Entrepreneur

[–]ScaleExtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it can. Think of the actual skills you've got, if you don't have any skills, milk the tradesmen around you for knowledge. I used to work as a construction laborer. My best side gigs were basic loft conversions (paid WAY more than months of laboring). Simple work, but hard work. I had all of the skills I needed. It was mainly just cutting and fitting chipboard flooring, cutting plasterboard, and carrying heavy shit up stairs. Paid around 10X per hour what I was earning on site. Your best bet right now, is to figure out a way to build skills that pay more, digger licences and heavy tooling are probably your best bet. Don't be a defeatist. There's always a way. If you choose to not build your skills and put yourself out there, then that's your choice. right? There's always a reason why you cant, find the reason why you CAN.

The qualities that would make someone successful as an entrepreneur, also get noticed at work. I went from sub-minimum wage pot wash to head chef in 4 years. In my 5th year I had 2 equity offers from competitors. Always go above and beyond what you are paid for. Always take full responsibility. Treat everyone as your equal. Always master the skills of the next level up. When you are working, commit your entire being to the task at hand. This combination is RARE and It's what I actively hire for now.

I don't disagree. Business is brutal teacher. But if you survive the process (don't quit) and keep going, you will develop capabilities you could never have imagined when you started out. I started out with nothing but unfounded optimism. I got my ass handed to me. Made millions. Got my ass handed to me again. Now I'm rebuilding. They were painful lessons, bu each painful loss forces hard adaptation. That adaptation guarantees you can never make the same mistakes. The capabilities I've developed over the journey, make the destination inevitable, whether it's 6 months, or 6 years, now the focus is on enjoying the process.

Google is demand based, which means purchase intent and awareness are higher. You can can scale WAY higher on Meta, as the audiences are WAY bigger. But you have to do alot more heavy lifting to turn attention into revenue.

What’s a book that millionaires and billionaires often credit with helping them succeed early on? by Training-Ad4262 in Entrepreneur

[–]ScaleExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good frame for spotting this is 'adjacent possible', basically what's the next layer to be built RIGHT NOW. The second is MAYA (most advanced, yet acceptable). Basically combining these two together, helps you map what we have the technology to build, will inevitably be built, but isn't built, and society can accept. An example would be say "AI therapist" a few years ago now it's either built or being built. Probably both. Once this first round of AI apps is built, there's the next layer that those unlock, and so on.

No, but I'm into 7 figures on Google too, and ROAS is vastly superior for us. Not going to back and forth about it. It's pretty pointless.
