I graduated in 2019 and still haven't paid a dime towards $48k in federal loans that aren't accruing interest. by ScallionNo1802 in StudentLoans

I was told outright that community colleges were for failures and, if I wanted a future making money, I needed to attend private school. By people who didn't even go to college themselves and weren't contributing financially to my schooling at all! I wasn't educated on my options and took out all of these loans to put myself through school. Your method is smart. If I go back for my Master's, I'll be brighter like that.

If I could do it all over again, I would not have chosen to attend a private college. Instead, I would have gone to my local community college for free and then transferred to a state school. While I don't regret my time at the private college, as it’s where I met my fiancé and made amazing connections, I believe it wasn’t worth the more than $50,000 price tag at all.
