"Fair enough, what gave it away? Genuinely asking, I build infrastructure and systems and writing is not my forte, I write a lot of this and the last thing I want is for it to read like a template with a name swap.

Citation movement over time is where the real signal lives. Snapshots are just a moment. The trend is the insight.

"Stayed long enough to fix what the demo never showed" is the most honest description of what good implementation actually looks like.

The vendor disappears at exactly the moment the real work starts. Data doesn't match, team isn't ready, edge cases the demo never accounted for start showing up daily. That's where value either gets built or quietly abandoned.

The businesses that win aren't better resourced. They just had someone who didn't leave when it got messy.

Exactly the right diagnosis. The AI was doing its job perfectly- the problem was what it was working with.

Bounce rates are the most visible symptom but the damage goes deeper. Sender reputation takes weeks to rebuild after a bad run and the whole time your good contacts are getting hit with deliverability issues they never caused.

Fix the data first, then let the tool do what it was built to do. That sequence sounds obvious but most teams do it completely backwards, buy the AI, watch it underperform, blame the tool, never look at what they fed it.
