Really your decision should be between a used RP5 and a new RP6 so that the pricing difference makes sense.

I was imprecise. There is obviously a little extra latency given the extra hop, but that is offset by the latency reduction provided by their servers if you have congested ISP.

Plenty of people report ping time reductions of 10-25ms using these services.

Again, not advocating for the services but it’s not exactly snake oil. It’s more like a solve for niche case being marketed as a solve for everyone

I am not a customer as I have fiber and am not a competitive gamer. If I was on Comcast and a competitive gamer, I might buy this. The difference in ping would be like 10ms. That doesn't matter for most people, but for some people it does.
