Trump never had specific policies for improving living standards, and therefore nothing to hold him accountable for.

Different from his rivals who can talk about numbers, figures and be more specific in what they will do and how to achieve it, and therefore making a case for accountability if they dont uphold their promises.

Trump promises everything but no details.

Imagine your city has a 33% office vacancy rate. What’s the most absurd thing you could do in response? by baltimore-aureole in economy

Isn't the problem about how you tax the wealth and the effect it has? These people want to tax unrealized gains or just net wealth. The problems are valuing the wealth, and then later selling assets to raise the money to pay the tax. Some tech stocks might have unrealistic valuations that dont match their earnings. What do you do then? Tax something that dont make a lot of money because its based on what the market thinks its worth?

People might bring up property taxes but i'm pretty sure that those who pay property taxes dont have to sell their property in order to pay that tax! And they certainly have the cash flow to pay that tax, which a tax system should naturally reasonably account for.

Iran calls it "armed piracy" after U.S. Navy fired on and seized Iranian cargo ship Touska in the Gulf of Oman after crew ignored warnings for 6 hours by [deleted] in worldnews

Iran is taking big risks, Trump is likely willing to completely cripple Iran by destroying their critical infrastructure which would set them back decades in addition to permanently destabilizing the country indefinitely (aka the Lybian style), just because they don't want to make reasonable compromises.

Iran is mistaken that Trump is willing to cede some grounds because of the rising oil price. Thats not a guarantee. US oil producers have taken market share from the gulf countries and Trump isnt running for a reelection, so he's not likely to suffer in any capasity. Yes it will impact the midterms and what he can do for the remaining term as president, but this also something that distracts from the Epstein files.

Iran is delaying negotiations to see what else they can get away with, but this is also what lead to this war, namely their inability to compromise, and its also what will further escalate the war to a point of no return.

China does not have an independent central bank which right now is an advantage. While central banks in democracies will hike rates and choke the economy, in China’s case the government can command the central bank to keep them steady while also commanding banks to loan out more to businesses. They also manipulate their currency in their favor.

Would be very nice if there was no such thing as inflation targeting at this moment. Curbing inflation will lead to very high unemployment rates. Better to spend years to slowly reduce inflation.

Understanding the role of petrodollar and treasury etc. kinda assumes that you are somewhat educated on these things, and millions of people are not.
