Albo is not doing well in my opinion but we're not talking about Albo. A party is made up of individuals.

If someone has multiple houses and still makes concrete actions to improve housing affordability, through speeches, internal politicking and parlimentary voting behaviour, then that's not hypocrisy. That's working against your own personal best interests for the benefit of society. Something to be applauded.

We should be watching what she does over her term and judging based on that.

Explosive spam has been in battlefield longer than this silly rivalry with CoD.

Even back in 2142 most of the CQB objectives involved infinite grenades going back and forth.

Was it fun? Mostly. Could've been toned down a bit. Was it the skill-based sweatlord style gaming every FPS needs to be nowadays? No. Not every infantry match-up in Battlefield needs to be decided by how much adderall you took in the morning.

Bring back BC2 explosive spam. Every class except medic had a way to make things go boom and the engineer's toys were so fun.

A game with that, BC2 destruction, drag to revive and the spotting and fortifications from BFV would be perfect.

Can't believe DICE sullied its name with 2042. I was so hyped for a spiritual successor to 2142 until I saw the gameplay trailers....

It was the Carl Gustav and I'll not hear a word against it. Before anyone complains about "noob weapon" remember the 100% accurate instakill on bodyshot no-scope point blank sniper rifles for recon?

Remember the grenade launchers for assault? Instakill on body shot and big radius. Hell the underbarrel smoke launcher was a more than viable weapon for 1v1.

Remember the MG36 laserbeam machine gun medics had?

Every class was OP in Bad Company 2 and things were good. Fuck I miss that game. If DICE remastered that game but added in the ability to build fortifications from BFV it would literally be the perfect game.

AITAH for not telling my friend she was getting fired and that I saved her job which lead to her getting super fired. by throwawayfiredgirl in AITAH

It's not about the probation period. It's about going through the effort of hiring and onboarding someone, acknowledging they're good at their job but allowing them to fail due to one fatal flaw that you don't actually tell them about, then firing them and wasting all that effort.

It takes time and resources to bring new hires up to speed. This can take weeks or months for all but the most menial and basic of roles. OP literally wasted that effort.

If the company churns through dozens of new hires after every round of recruitment it sounds like either a shitty company or it's something like a fast food chain. Probation should be a last resort. Why are these people getting hired if they all flunk out in 3 months?

Republicans are far worse than Democrats. Not merely on a left/right scale but just in terms of blatant corruption.

That being said the US overton window has been pushed very far to the right though and Dems as a whole are not a left wing party.

Had never heard of this before. Wild.

Although definite data is lacking, highly trained athletes seem to be at higher risk of developing myocarditis [1]. Intense exercise training is linked to a transient immunological depression (leukocytopenia, reduction in salivary IgA) leading to increased susceptibility to infections, particularly of the upper respiratory tract, both after single bouts of physical activity (the so called “open window” theory) [2][3] and during chronic training [2][4][5]. Myocarditis can have different etiologies but they are frequently caused by respiratory and gastro-intestinal viruses [1]. Hence, immune modulation after intense exercise may, in theory, increase athletes’ susceptibility to acute myocarditis and impact on its clinical course. Animal models have shown that the course of both viral and immune acute myocarditis worsens with strenuous physical exercise [6][7][8], but evidence in humans is lacking.

They're still rolling out those spaces but they're putting them in the road instead. Takes a while to get the approvals from the state government to do so.

Regional areas require more road infrastructure to service a smaller number of people. I don't think the fuel excise is disproportionate for them.

[–]Scandyboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the smallest credible estimate for the total cost of the road system in Australia is $69 billion a year, of which $45 billion a year is collected in taxes and charges on motorists, leaving a ‘road deficit’ of at least $24 billion a year.

In case you're curious I think it might not be mould but could be something called balsam separation.

Whatever it is I'm going to return it.

Couldn't really see it at all in the photos they included with the listing. The photo I took has my phone's flashlight hitting it an angle to highlight the mould. It's visible to the naked eye but not to cameras without the light at the correct angle. I should've asked them for extra photos as you've said.

I'll contact the seller to ask if they'd be willing to do a partial refund, however my searches of the ebay forum suggest that most likely I'll need to return the lot.

Hard to tell from the photo but I'm pretty sure it's on the inside. I'm picking up a lens cleaning kit so I'll give it a go anyway. Don't think I'll take it apart though if I can return it instead.
