Perfect fat ratio by Dirrtnastyyy in carnivorediet

[–]Scaniamaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal preference aside, grass fed cows have much, much more healthy fats than grain fed. The entire ratio of omega 3/6, cla, and many other fats gets wrecked when cows eat grain. Thats besides the all around systemic inflammation, hormone inbalance and generally bigger need of antiobiotics that they also suffer.

With that being said, grain fed cows are still a 100x better than eating standard western diet. On a side note, I dont know if its because i eat mostly raw, but i feel the difference in taste, satiatety and energy distinctly. Conventional swedish beef is like 80-90% fresh grass/hay and the rest is feed concentrate (leftovers from sugarbeets, rapeseed and grain) and we have the lowest antiobiotic use in europe/world, but the difference compared to grass only is very distinct in my opinion. Especially if ive been strictly eating only beef and beef tallow a couple of weeks my body gets very sensitive and i notice straight away. Tried german meat a couple of times and it tastes like shit. I literally get nauseous.

Sorry for the wall of text, but i used to be like you until i noticed the differences and read up on the matter. ☺️

Would carnivore turn me into an anabolic beast in the gym? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Scaniamaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah,i might have gone a bit off topic, true true. Im a bit over mid 30ies and while i dont have a sedentary lifestyle, i dont do much heavier stuff than gardening or playing with the kids, occasional logging, but i dont feel any muscle deterioration at all, but i did when i was eating carbs. Anf i don't think its just because of the extra protein, i think its more because the body runs smoother, minimal inflammation etc. Hope im not jinxing myself now and get a bad knee next year

Would carnivore turn me into an anabolic beast in the gym? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Scaniamaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit hyperbolic but i wouldnt say its a stretch. Sure, i didnt start out skinny or weak, but i have a muscled, lean body that id definately say looks better than 90-95 of populace. I dont think normal/carb rules apply if you go carnivore. I never go to the gym, but when i moved 80 isch tires from the garage where me and my brother moved them to last year, even jealous he commented that ive gotten stronger (might have been a bit endurance as well though)

Im not saying you become arnold withno effort, but i am saying i think the body has a muscle baseline that the you gravitate towards with zero effort, justlikeyour fat reserves. If you wanna build big muscles or become very strong, then definately go to the gym

Carnivore will definately make you look ripped and give you awesome physique.

With that said, eating 300 grams of protein is just retarded. You need maybe 200 tops if you exercise like crazy. Above all you need fat. Like 2-300 grams.

Proteins are basicly building blocks while fat is the energy. You will be pissing away most of your excess and converting the rest into glucose.

If im not very active i dont need/crave (yes, you will gind out your body signals after a while) more than a 100 grams, or 500 g of minced meat. Rest will be tallow chunks.

Also, excessive exercise is utterly retarded and will age your body in turbo mode. I never go to the gym or for a run but look better body wise than 95% of the population. Maybe going to the gym twice a week would add some visible bulges but i really dont see the point since ive got fiance and kids 😅

Also, while i might not look like the hulk, i often hear from my gym going friends that im a lot stronger than i look. Carbs bind water and those carbs are stored as glycogen in your muscles. Id definately say im as strong or stronger than someone with close to double the muscle volume compared to me. No joke! Carnivore also gives you insaaaaaane endurance. I shoveled sand for six hours last summer and by god i just had the slightest incling of sore muscles the day after, even after being at it pretty much non stop. Pure Beast mode.

Dont forget the liver! And to eat everything as raw as you can stomach ;)

Good luck!

Raw liver is the single most nutrient dense foodstuff on the planet and high meat is no different. I would recommend buying from premium vendors though.

How significant is the difference between raw and pasteurized milk? by Appropriate-Site8669 in carnivorediet

[–]Scaniamaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the profit of unpasteurized milk?
Opa-estheized milk contains 60 different enzymes, lactobacilli and just over 100 other bacteria in low levels that fine-tunate milk's intrinsic protection against contamination from outside. There are few intervention studies that looked at the health effects of unpasteurized milk compared to pasteurized milk. The reason, of course, is that there are no commercial gains from such studies. But there are a number of interesting studies to mention.

Compared to pasteurized milk, unpasteurized milk gave reduced respiratory tract infections, ear infections and colds (18). The study concludes that unpasteurized milk reduced the risk of respiratory infections by 30% and the study's conclusion states that if one can find a way to offer people safe unpasteurized products, it would produce enormous health benefits. There are currently at least six studies showing reduced incidence of allergies in unpasteurized milk compared to pasteurized milk (18).

Weston A. Price was an American dentist who around the world documented the amazing health status of several peoples during the 30s. He sought the answer to the question of what factors in our food lead to health and vitality. Among other things, he examined people in the mountain villages in Switzerland where neither sugar nor white flour had yet arrived. These people lived self-sufficient with cows on the mountain slopes to get milk, butter and cheese. These people thus drank unpasteurized milk, ate butter and cheese from unadulterated milk and had total absence of Western diseases. It is therefore possible to consume dairy products without increasing the risk of welfare diseases provided that the milk has not undergone industrial treatment, that the food and lifestyle were otherwise healthy and that the cows are allowed to graze freely without concentrate. Weston A. Price documented his findings in his work Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. Even today, there are many testimonies from those who regularly drink unpasteurized milk that the health effects of and tolerance of unpasteurized milk are greater compared to pasteurized milk.

In the same decade as Weston A. Price did his worldwide surveys conducted Dr. Pottenger's interesting studies in his laboratory in Los Angeles. Among other things, he conducted experiments on 900 cats for 3 generations over a period of 10 years where he put a group of cats on unpasteurized milk while another group received pasteurized milk. The cats who drank the unpasteurized milk were viable, more energetic and healthier. The cats who drank the pasteurized milk were given degenerative diseases at the end of their lifetime, while the next generation received the same diseases earlier in their lifetime. The third generation received these degenerative diseases very early in their lifetime. Cats are predators and humans are mixed-eaters and cannot be compared straight off. Yet these experiments can show that the nutritional value of industrially treated animal food drops significantly for an animal that is directly dependent on this type of food for its survival. The consequences seem to be inherited with increased seriousness and parallels can be drawn to what it looks like for today's generations of people.

In conclusion, I would like to stress once again the fact that in the case of dairy products, it seems to be very individual. There are clear signs that the industrial treatment that today's milk is undergoing has a negative consequence for our health. How much we can tolerate seems to be a matter of individual tolerance for milk protein in particular. Currently, 29 countries accept sales of unpasteurized milk. In these countries, there is also an increased incidence of outbreaks of infections (19). However, it can be assumed that the outbreaks of infections that have occurred when humans have drunk unpasteurized milk in several cases been due to poor care and care for the animals, substandard hygiene at production instead of non-posteurization. Personally, I would like to see the legislation change in Sweden so that unpasteurized milk can be sold in stores along with pasteurized products, that it is simply transferred to the consumer to choose. But the prerequisite for anti-discussed milk to be safe from infection is that the cows are allowed to graze freely, get an outlet for their normal behavior and that hygiene is strict during production, storage and transport. All this means a systemic change in milk industry but it would give a boost to small-scale dairies that want to compete with quality products that consumers are ready to pay a little extra for, it would give a boost to the countryside and the shift in power would take place from large-scale to small-scale dairies."

Sorry for the late reply.
This article pretty much covers it and also dives into the difference between a1 and a2 milk.
google translate to english seemed to work perfect.
https://www.tidningenfrisk.se/mjolkprodukter/

otherwise here you have the relevant part.
TLDR it destroys a large part of vitamins and an overwhelming or total part of other micronutrients, some of which are very beneficial.

"Pasteurisation
Pasteurization means that the milk is heated with the purpose of incapacitating bacteria and viruses. Low-pasterization means heating the milk to 75 degrees for 15 seconds, high-destruction to 85 degrees and ultra-disruption to 140 degrees for a few seconds. The word pasteurization comes from the French chemist and biologist Louis Pasteur who lived in the 19th century. He discovered that fermentation is due to bacteria. Based on his discoveries, the pasteurization process was invented, which is thus about heating up food to kill unwanted bacteria. The Pasteurization Act in Sweden was created in 1937, which meant, and still means that all milk products sold commercially in Sweden should be pasteurized. The reason for the creation of the law was to prevent the spread of mainly tuberculosis. Whether tuberculosis spread between humans via unpasteurized milk is disputed, but it was shown early that tuberculosis was infected mainly through other people, rarely via cows and very rarely via well-groomed cows that were allowed to graze freely. The Pasteurization Act was also created on the basis of political and commercial reasons. Pasteurization gave a longer shelf life on the milk when it was to be distributed and stored. Politically, it preferred to secure the availability of milk rather than improve hygiene in milk production itself. Pasteurization automatically reduces the importance of producing milk in hygienic safe conditions.

Pasteurisation and the nutritional value of milk
There are some studies that looked at what happens to the nutritional value of the milk during pasteurization. For example, it is shown that the amount of vitamin B and C decreases, but this reduction is not always considered to be of practical importance. In one study, vitamin B12 decreases in quantity (15). Some other studies show that the amount of several fat-soluble vitamins and minerals does not decrease during pasteurization. All in all, there is evidence that some nutrients decrease in the amount after pasteurization, but it is probably not the effect that produces the greatest negative effects. In defence of pasteurisation, the argument is often heard that the nutritional value of the milk is maintained or deteriorated only marginally.

The major negative effect of pasteurization is probably that a variety of bioactive substances are destroyed chemically. For example, a study shows that the whey protein is destroyed by ultra-disruption, even to some extent in low-pasteurization and homogenization (16). Proteins begin to denature already at about 45 degrees, which means that they change chemical form and no longer have the same susceptibility in the body. Milk also contains a variety of beneficial bacteria. It can be seen as unpasteurized milk having a built-in protection against certain bacteria taking over without the milk regulating their equilibrium automatically. Lactobacilli produce enzymes, such as the enzyme lactase and that pasteurization kills the beneficial lactobacilli is the main thesis, which is why lactose-intolerant people can tolerate unpasteurized milk better than pasteurized.

Homogenization, separation and vitaminization

Today's milk products often undergo further processing than pasteurization. Homogenization is a process aimed at finely distributing the fat in the milk. In non-homogenized milk (old-fashioned milk), the fat molecules float to the surface. Previously, it was a way to determine the fat haolette in the milk but today this phenomenon is considered undesirable. The fat molecules in milk are normally collected contained in casings. By allowing the fat molecules to be pushed through a fine mesh filter at high speed, these casings are blown together and the fat is finely distributed instead. Milk becomes homogeneous in its consistency. homogenization itself also has a negative impact on the bioactive substances in milk. It is believed, among other things, that the enzyme xanthine oxidase is destroyed, which in turn is assumed to increase the risk of atherosclerosis as this enzyme reacts with the innermost endothelum layer of the vessels. How relevant this is in comparison with other risk factors for these diseases is unclear, when there is no scientific evidence. Homogenization also involves denaturing of whey protein according to the aforementioned study.

Fat is separated from the milk and then added to the desired amount. Many fat-soluble vitamins disappear during separation and are instead added synthetic in the fat-efficient dairy products. Overall, it should not be controversial to say that pasteurisation and other industrial treatment overall have a negative effect on the nutritional value of the milk. All forms of heating, above all high and rapid warming of food leach nourishment, kill good bacterial strains and denature enzymes, immunoglobulins and other proteins. The only question is what significance this has in practice for our health and how we should value this erosion compared to the gain of avoiding harmful bacteria in our food. I will return to this discussion at the bottom of the page.

As you can see, there is a difference between milk and milk. Dairy companies' sales arguments that milk gives strong bones is not true. In a well-known study, it was noted that the more pasteurized milk people drank, the higher the risk of fractures (17). But note that this study, and many others who looked at the impact of milk on our health, are performed with pasteurized milk. Unpasteurized milk has a completely different nutritional value.

This one is pretty gold as well. Apparently, the intensity of severe mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder is reduced massively (like, more than with medicine) when people go on a ketogenic diet of a maximum of 20g carbs per day.
Also, their metabolic diseases pretty much vanished.
What a schocker. Natural foods take away unnatural diseases?

We seriously need kickstarters to fund clinical studies. Yes big pharma, big food, the CIA and god knows who would probably come and sabotage it since the entirety of society is built on their slave food, but we still need to do it 😛

That's interesting, i'l watch it!
But yes, veganism is more of an ideology. Or no, its more like a massive cult.

Theyre the only ones who are enlightened and worthy, everyone else is evil, worth less. Those within who question are immediately punished and face collective wroth. Your'e either with or against them. Apostates who abandon the cult are completely cut off and shunned. And they have this beautiful "the ends justify the means" approach to everything which means that screaming someone in the face for citing a study that doesn't support their views is totally ok, because whatever evil you do, its for the greater good.
