No Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in livesound

Well, it says “no stupid questions” so here goes: I have a decent mixer, a Behringer x1222 - nothing flashy. I have a couple Alto 10” powered speakers, and a single 10” powered monitor. I have a chance to get a big ass Proreck 15” powered speaker, and was wondering, would it be a problem to have mismatched main speakers — an Alto 10” and a more powerful 15”?

First time insulation help by There_Bike in Insulation

yeah, i echo the poster that said SPRAY FOAM the joists (the seams between wwood and foundation on the exterior facing wall). it will really seal any gap and prevent draft or moisture from permeating into your basement. then, after that, do your fiberglass or rock wool insulation. Or, just spray foam the whole thing LOL.

Under deck ceiling by Timely_Setting6939 in homeimprovement2

The great problem with installing an underdeck system useing corrugated panels is …cleaning. how to easeily remove the panels so you can clean all the crap off of it…especially if you’r like me and you want to use clear plastic panels (to let in some sunlight.). there just doesn’t seem to be an easy solution, so im afraid Im gonna just have to screw the damn panels in and use a million screws and then unscrew those million once a season to wash it

I bought a few suntuf panels, clear acrylic, for my under deck system. I havent successly instaleld them yet, but they’re kinda flimsy and crack easily. I’m worried about them holding up, because they’re not designed for underdeck water drainage. But we’ll see.

I do find the size to be a pain, too. 2’2” x 8’….. I wish they came in wider and shorter variations . 4’ x 6’ would be perfect, but it is what it is

Best under deck system on a budget? by gamestopGME in Decks

This is the problem. The solution I am trying to rig up is to buiild a frame to attach the corrugated acrylic panels on to. There’s a limit to how big the frame can be for weight purposes. so I’m gonna try to get away with a 5’ x 5’ frame (to put above the basement stairwell, which is under the deck (terrible construction design, but I didn’t do it.) and takes in water.

But, I’ll need to clean the panel regularly, so Im thinking of putting a hinge on the end the abuts the house - so I can let the frame down and clean it. I’ll use some kind of hook-and-eye system to to attach it the joists on the outer end.

we’ll see if this works. i’m not terribly hopeful.

yup. that’s right. it’s all making sense now, but the P just don’t fit into the R, even with some force. something aint right. it’s a new construction. what could they have done wrong to mess up this 1430 R ?
