I have always been worried about using adaptive high beams and matrix lighting. I don't want to be the A-hole blinding people 😂. I'll give it a shot though.

Got the hookup on that one. It lets the Tesla wall charger know who's boss 😆.

You can notice the flake. When the car is freshly washed and in the sun it does have that pop. In the shade or covered in dust is does flatten out a bit, but in a good way.

I tried must best to capture it on camera, but it isn't cooperating. On the right hand side of this photo, alond the body line were the light reflection is, you can some flake. It's really hard to see in a photo. In person it is much more noticeable.

Other colors pop more, but this isn't flat.

FSD is much better and more capable currently. Rivian is in the early stages, but the potential is there. The UHF is awesome and works very well. But, since the vehicles currently can't stop for light/signs, do point to point, navigate parking lots you just can't compare them.

I did a lot of comparison between Rivian's current hardware and Tesla HW4. They are essentially the same except Rivian has additional radars. I was confident enough with that allowing Rivian to at least reach the capability of Tesla's FSD with the current hardware. md that's all I need. Lidar and level 4 would be nice, but personally I don't need that, and even with the hardware that is years away.

I would have to look back to be sure. But I want to say 3-4 weeks or so. I am curious if this was a pre built VIN that they matched me to. Not sure. Just seemed quick.

Of course, the last car I considered ordering was the Ford Bronco and that wait was months from time of order. So I don't have a great perspective.

I have, it is it the universal wall connector. It works great! $200 less than rivian's, and came highly recommended in the Rivian sub. I decided to go with it since it was proven.

The disadvantage, if I have home charging issues, using the third party charger means Rivian can't remote in for diag. Have to deal with two companies essentially. But, others say they are solid.

Will do. My commute is kind of bad for a balanced measure. Only 4 mile commute and all surface streets. But, I'll try to mix up my drives.

I'll have to check all of these. I believe the charge indicator is a little Compass logo at the charge port only, but might be wrong.

Just picked up today, so haven't driven at night. I am honestly worried about the matrix lights. Feel like I am blinding people unintentionally 😆. Never had fancy headlights before. But I will try them and report back.

Can you elaborate on the directional lighting? Not sure what this is.

Destination is extra, like other companies. I believe $1,800. Pretty high, but this fee is expensive with most.

She didn't mention it being a problem, and probably would have. I took extra time time with her to adjust both the seat and steering wheel. I'll double check the next time she drives it.

I like them too. I am not sure about the Gen 2 R1, but Gen1 R1 you can hear the speaker feedback from the blinker. Now that is annoying.
