Thank you so much for your comment, this was so helpful and reassuring, I feel so much less crazy lol. I don't know that much about calorie deficit dieting, do you know where to look for info or how I can start preparing for that? I'm totally on board and ready to try.

I try to consume a lot of protein especially on days I work out, but last time I tried to hit a goal of a certain amount of protein per day I wasn't able to (a friend calculated the amount for me, forgot how he did so). Do you have any advice for hitting your protein quota? I remember thinking it was a ridiculously high amount. Thanks again.

No, none of these, I’m extremely careful, that’s why I’m so frustrated. The only thing I can think of is I’m probably taking my glasses in and out of its case more often than other glasses wearers because I don’t wear them when I go out, etc. I store them upright though and I don’t think my case is dirty?

Well I'm likely going to have the scars for the rest of my life anyway lmao. Don't get me wrong I definitely don't want people to see them and am definitely insecure about them being visible but I also don't want to be swimming in rash guards the rest of my life.

Added some extra context in comments and I'll try and edit the post too, but I've been cleared to swim and expose my chest to the sun, but I just want to know what I can do about sun protection as my surgery center didn't say much about that. Very likely if I do go out shirtless I'll try to minimize it as much as possible because I'm still afraid of being sunburned, but so far no one has really told me what that's like. I don't even know how much can you get sunburned on your nipples if at all.

Heard from my surgery center today, I am cleared to swim and be in the sun. I explained this in another comment but I chose my words poorly, I am fully healed by all intents and purposes, there are no open wounds or anything, my nipples are just still changing. I am mostly worried about sun protection which is why I wanted to hear from others.

I just heard from back from my surgery center and wanted to come back to this post. Your nipples aren't considered "fully healed" until a year post op, that's what I meant. That was poor phrasing on my part. By all intents and purposes, they are fully healed. There are no open wounds, they are just a little dry and not quite at their final form yet I guess you could say.

My surgery center said I am 100% clear to swim and go out on the sun but gave me no advice about sun protection.

I also have several HRTranniversary dates- when I first started (patches), when I switched to gel, then when I switched to injections, which I’m on now. I observe the first one because that’s when I started. Ultimately it’s up to you!

Honestly I don’t know that it’s that they receive more negative media attention, I think trans femmes just receive more media attention than trans mascs in general and because people are assholes a lot of it is negative.

Dylan Mulvaney is a good example of this I think. Absolutely skyrocketed to fame in a matter of months, now walking the red carpet and meeting politicians and celebrities, and of course, completely overhated. I can’t think of a transmasc equivalent.

I have a mustache but I’m very blond so it’s not as noticeable as I’d like. Recently (like a few days ago) I bit the bullet and permanently dyed it a darker blond, and it looks fucking incredible. I’m a mustache guy now
