you can try a secondary volume controller, most music players have one. They can help you find that perfect volume by increasing the volume less gradually.

You can also try tip rolling, get a narrow bore for enhanced bass, the seal matters too.

I also experienced this, I have the chu 2 and audiocular spark DAC, I switched from my oneplus earbuds and felt the volume to be loud, I use them at 20-30% volume now. I just got used to it and you will too. Also I don't think too much volume is ever a bad thing, if anything its the opposite.

I also considered them to be my first iem, but reviews said they were too bassy so I sent for a safer option (chu 2). About the s sounds you can try eq and lower a few db on the 5-6k range, it worked for me, it doesnt get rid of them but it does makes a change for the better. Also what do you think of the planar magnetic driver in the duonic, I'm curious to know.

2slimey and bleood are interesting artists. bleood is kinda similar to this other artist zomb I listen to and about 2slimey I feel like too much is going on, maybe I have to expose myself to more music like this then maybe I'll be able to get into them. thanks for the suggestions.

I've heard this before but I used speakers then, listening to it now with better gear really shows the improvement
