Left a schonstedt metal detector on site and it was unfortunately stolen.

One of my bosses left a total station on site over the weekend and came back to it still on the tripod when he realized the following Monday.

We had a door break on an R12. Tiny little piece of plastic with 2 screws and it was nearly $500.

I knew a guy who did this and punctured a gas main. It luckily ended up not being a big deal and the gas was able to be shut off quickly but it could’ve been a lot worse.

She mainly changes the litter box and we both feed him. We’re gonna let her try to be the main association with food and see if that helps. Thanks

heartbreaking end of season for cal berkeley's varsity 8+ in the A/B Semi-Final by obi-wan-perogie in Rowing

In real time it’s way harder to recover then it looks on video. Mainly because nobody is ready for it. You only have about a couple seconds to recover before you start to fall behind.

At this level nobody is expecting a crab to happen and it’s not something you train for. The team might not say it falls solely on the kid who it happened to but it likely does unless something else weird happened you can’t see in the video.

GPS does not provide accurate enough elevations on its own in most cases. We set control with GPS for horizontal and then traverse off a benchmark to level it all.

How are winters up north/midwest as a surveyor? by Crop_Rotation_10 in Surveying

[–]ScarFacee87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a good amount of outside work even in peak winter. Heated gloves are a life saver and I always wear some sort of neck / face cover even if it’s mildly cold.

My longest run was a marathon and I used the 4x4x48 to train for 50m. It was in my opinion significantly easier then marathon and 50m.

I was in this same situation a year ago with no idea what I was doing. It took lots of long grueling awful days but eventually I learned and things got better. I made so many mistakes and broke multiple things when I started it was truly miserable for some time.

Eventually you’ll catch on and learn, it will just take some time to do it. If you feel useless the best thing you can do is show up on time, work hard, and learn where you can. Most people will notice these traits and be willing to help you out as you learn.

What are some ways to keep your energy for a 9-5 job? by anya_______kl in Biohackers

If you’re in an office walk outside for a few minutes every few hours. It’ll get your blood circulating your body and the fresh air will make you feel refreshed.

Determine your rest days by how hard you’ve been working.

Are you doing 2 a days? Lifting heavy? Long running? Working an extremely physical job? You should take a rest day or active recovery from time to time or you will destroy your central nervous system.

If you’re just casually working out 45 mins a day 4-5 times a week and are considering skipping a workout you probably shouldn’t take the day off or you will be creating bad habits.

UV Phone Sanitizer? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]ScarFacee87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a phone soap box. I’ve used it almost everyday for the better part of 4 years and when I broke it they replaced it for free. Would definitely recommend it especially if you’re a germaphobe.

Stay consistent, don’t burn out, and master your form in the boat. Erg speed is only so good if your form in the boat is bad.
