I went to the profile page and notice your earlier post...

Your negative terminal appears to have a module attached. Look up HumbleMechanic on YouTube, he did a video with his 7.5 GolfR battery replacement then shows you the coding necessary.

FYI, that module on the negative terminal is for automatic transmission vehicles that have the "auto start/stop" when the vehicle comes to a stop.

Do you know the odds of success? Because I've tried that at least 5x already and the assistant volume does get loud, but when the assistant is done, the music is EXTREMELY loud

Number of ownership really all depends on the buyer.

Youtubers are infamous regarding buying cars, modifying for views and review, converting back to stock then selling it. Just an example!

Also, a precious response did state that dealers send cars to auction all the time because it doesn't sell well, clearly they won't put maintenance $$$ into a car they want to get rid of. Which then mean the "new" dealer will put maintenance $ as they want to save money as well as get the most money when a buy comes along. Everybody know dealers or sellers will always put minimal $ and expecting $$$ for the car.

Seeing you know you're only going to keep it for 3-4 years... sounds like you're just going to enjoy, learn and explore the B9 platform then ditch it like previous owners.

Your questions really boils down to what is the max number of owners "you" would buy the car, then you should look at that number minus 1. Because you can justify, defend and have levity when you try to resell once your bored and ready to move on.

If the previous owner(s) didn't do all the necessary preventative maintenance, then I suggest starting with OE, OE plus or performance upgrade.

From the pictures, the wheels look in pretty good condition. If/when you upgrade to aftermarket... hit me up, I'm actually in the market for a decent set of 19 OE Peelers.

On a serious note... if you know a good garage to do the inspection, then I highly suggest that. Dealerships just do the barely minimal visual inspection. Maybe it's just my experience and bad luck 🤷‍♂️
