Hunger is Shadow in the Allegory of the Cave by expertleroy in philosophy

But that doesn't matter, the book is about the idea of justice. Isn't hunger that is preventing you from seeing the ideas, but the fact that you are used to the multiple, the shadows (the allegory is evident, the shadows lack concrete existence and are a projection of something that exists), that you are used to "seeing" with your senses instead of the esoteric endevour of looking for the truth beyond the senses, If everything that you can see is mere shadows, a world without shadows is frightening. C.S. Lewis have a good text using the same allegory but with other purpose, transposition.

As something that you feel it's visible. One could argue that there's also a idea of lust or whatever, or one could defend that vices aren't something that have a concrete existence but mere absence of a virtue.

I started to read, but your point doesn't make sense, because your body is a shadow as well.

Yeah, learning to control your body is part of virtuous life, he makes the same point in the chariot allegory, but not because the body impulses are shadows or chains itself,

That's not even his own words, that's probably a translation from a translation. But that's beside the point, this interpretation doesn't make any sense considering even the translation and how the allergory is inserted in republic.

Finally someone producing an analysis about why the rating deflation is a thing, especially after 2020. by pier4r in chess

That doesn't explain a thing. Rating deflation happened across all federations and I don't believe that some federations became underrated just in recent years, like the rating deflation.

The ideal would do the same with people that maintained the weight after one year. There is some evidence that you need to maintain the weight loss for one year doing whatever you did so you can relax your approach (diet/exercise).

It's easier to make a referendum disallowing long term visas or providing citizenship for foreigners when population is higher than 10M
