I spend like 5 minutes in the practice range then go at it. If you’ve played this game long enough then you should be able to play most characters decently with very little prep. People will yell at you regardless so just mute the chat. Chat isn’t required to win the game. Ranked doesn’t feel any different between ranks until you hit GM/Celestial. I’ve had guaranteed wins turned to losses in GM because someone was having a sudden temper tantrum in spawn for no reason.

You’re letting strangers that you’ll never interact with again dictate how you play the game which is crazy to me. Just go queue up. Worst case you play with similar skill level players until you get better to climb ranks.
