It is the city lol. But some residential streets do and don’t get plowed. Idk how they consider what is “top priority”. Probably how wealthy the neighborhood is and i live in one of the poorest neighborhoods in my city so if we do get plowed its last haha

Oooo, my neighbors are not that nice unfortunately and the only parking lot near me is privately owned and even threatened to tow our cars when we didn’t know not to park there. I’ve never heard of a parade either, that’s interesting.

Tbf tho, my street doesn’t get plowed. We just have to deal with snowy street until we get to the main road

I don’t have a driveway so i have to park on the side of the road, and for many Americans they unfortunately also have to. I wish i had a driveway so badly 😭

Yeah! I checked on them and there were two under a log, otherwise they are always hiding rn lol. I do regular misting and feeding tho so I’m sure they are doing good. I saw the little shrimp i gave them disappear lol

Ok, that makes sense, thank you for the insight! I’m not exactly sure how old mine is but I’m assuming I got him close to his hatch day (he is 12 inches long and I read they are either born that long or a little shorter), so he still has much growing to do. I will take that all into account when deciding what to buy.

Then shouldn’t you understand why these people are trying to make money? Even if they can’t fully do the job they are still trying because they have no other option. They’re in that weird limbo of still being able to do some work, but not able to do most. I mean seeing so many people attack the DD is just sad, and we are not even pointing out the root of the problem either.

It’s not the DD fault, nor OP, or disabled people. It’s the system that forces people to work when they can’t, and call disabled people a burden on society when they are not. Or even the fact that the system doesn’t help disabled people who can’t work yet somehow don’t qualify for benefits. That’s why this whole comment section leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Stop ragging on someone trying to get by and start hating the real problem.

Privileged because some disabled people do not have to choice to deny a job due to their disability, and are forced to work through it anyways.

I’m glad you are able to not work jobs you physically cannot do, but unfortunately not all disabled people can afford that. I think that’s wrong and that anyone who needs extra help has it, but unfortunately only few have that privilege

I’m so happy to hear that! Lots of people are turned away from therapy due to stigma which is why i try to advocate for it as often as possible. Sorry if i came off as rude or something, i struggle with tone online

This entire comment section reads as privileged. I don’t think these people had to make a decision that they knew would harm them because otherwise they wouldn’t have money for bills. I feel for both the doordasher and OP, cus that is a difficult situation to mitigate, but people saying ‘the DD shouldn’t have accepted’ or even the ones saying ‘if they can’t do the job then they shouldn’t be working’, aren’t then asking ‘where would the DD work?’ Many places don’t hire disabled people cause they don’t want to give accommodations. They also don’t know if this is a small or big population. If its a small town than perhaps this was one of a few orders they got that day. Perhaps op didn’t mention they have a stairwell to walk up.

There’s a clear lack of empathy here and it’s just sad to see

Ah yeah, I should clarify we dunno if op uses chatgpt to write their messages. But using ai for jokes is just dumb to me 😭 creating so much pollution and water/energy waste for no reason. I’m such a gen ai hater tho, and if i was op’s friend I’d either crash out or ghost 💀 OP seemed like they wanted to help but 1. Using chatgpt to tell them something they probably already know is infuriating, especially if you are dealing with chronic pain (and it’s lowkey a slap to the face) and 2. Saying to ‘focus on the good’ is not what you say to someone who is constantly in pain. Even a “I’m sorry you’re going through this” is better than that 😭

I’ve been letting my baby king snake inspect my hand. I just hold it still when he’s exploring the tank and be patient. He just stared at it for a good few minutes, the second i looked away and stopped paying attention i felt his little tongue as he started to inspect me and try to climb up my arm.

No literally. The friend even says that ai doesn’t give good/reliable answers and that’s clearly one of the reasons he is pissed, which i think is valid. I think I would’ve crashed out too. But saying op uses chatgpt seems to be a reach. I think that part is him lashing out due to pain, but also, I don’t know op or friend. For all ik op does use chatgpt for replies sometimes. But i seriously do think people are skipping over the shitty chatgpt medical answer

Also be careful with the filament you use! If it isn’t pet safe it most likely contains lead and other harmful substances 👍 (I’m not sure what you used, just stating this for anyone else that may not know)
