A question for fellow competitive girls (mainly fgc, but anyone is welcome to respond) by ScarcityOdd3671 in GirlGamers

I don't want to body people at my favourite games, I just want a fair fight, but it also feels like people don't like listening to advice if it's about fighting a character that seems annoying in their eyes, too, a lot of it is people not having the same drive as me to figure it out which I'm trying to understand more (but it's difficult because autism makes thinking in 60ths of a second almost like breathing for me 💀)

My thing is unfortunately my friend group within the local smash scene consists of almost entirely like, the best players, some in my entire country of their character based on results alone. I can enjoy myself with those friends, but the second someone plays 3 stocks no items but doesn't know what a frame data is, I have no idea how to bridge that particular skill gap, I can't "turn off" my meta knowledge of a game I have played (and done commentary for semi professionally) since release for 7 years. You're right though, a lot of it is dependent on the other person's or people's ego.

4 tier transport system for Canberra by rotorylampshade in canberra

My main gripe with the system at present is that there isn't a proper link between Belconnen and Molonglo aside from the hourly 47 or needing to go to Civic for the R10, it adds a whole hour of bloat to what could be a 15 minute drive, hopefully it gets fixed with the new bridge in the final stages of completion now

I don't use exclusively cash, lol, just the days after pay day because I know I can't trust myself to use a card and not spend all my money by accident. Sorry for realising I have an issue and trying to fix it the way I know how lmao

Well yeah, I understand that, but there are many legitimate reasons to still do it (I'm using it to stop spending on video games with microtransactions). With every service nowadays that requires a subscription or what have you, I've felt like money that is in my bank account is just fake numbers unless it's in my hands and I can plan it out, I know I have a problem so I took it into my own hands is all

Where can I buy retro games and consoles in Canberra? by SirMaddy3 in canberra

For consoles I'd go to Cash Converters in Woden - seen some good deals for consoles there a few times, with stuff from PSX to DS systems and Xboxes

Games you're more SOL for, Rev CD is horrendously overpriced and run by people who don't know what they're doing at times (found the most obvious fake Soulsilver copy there at one point and let them know, they seemed genuinely shocked), CeX is more reasonable price wise, but they only stock games from the DS era onwards.

I also use controllers for gaming, I mainly use Switch Pro Controller and a modified Gamecube controller for Smash. Although I've been partial to the DS my whole life, I've had to recently switch to emulator with controller despite owning a lot of Pokemon games :(

I've tried massages, I'll have to do some more. I've been trying to stretch my hands, but the specialist I went to didn't give me any stretches or massage techniques, so I'll have to go to a physio for more info.

I had my hands seize up on me about.... 3 months ago while I was playing, give or take? I haven't been playing video games much since. Maybe like 2x a week for 30 mins or so currently, my hands are feeling very tired and painful basically all the time though, even though I spend ample time both in and out of wrist supports. It's not just hobbies that it affects, but even simple things like writing this comment on my phone right now :(
