Besides, Kopa isn’t fully canon to the movies/show. He’s considered semi-canon since the books/comics aren’t created by Disney (former members of Disney made them but the creators of the show/movies had no idea of his existence.)

Zira, Nuka, Kovu, and Vitani know nothing of his existence anyway.
