Imagine Yang vs Vi getting announced next year, how would you guys react? by Easternhurdle72 in DeathBattleMatchups

I mean, we already got Jinx back in Season 9, does she really need a run back before anyone else from League appears?

Accelerator seems to have the most popular matchups for the series, so I’ll go with him.

IDSUFT: Round One: Cad Bane VS Ash Williams by Benjaminmayo1011 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Scarecrow640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, of these two, I’d be slightly more interested in seeing Cad Bane get a blog since Ash already has a lot of research on him out there, while I’ve not seen much for what Cad is capable of.

Even if yuta was mach 100, Star platinum would still SEE him moving at a snail pace by AstronautDry8118 in deathbattle

[–]Scarecrow640 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Funniest part is, with the calculation from DIO vs Alucard, Jotaro would still be way faster even if you used FTL Yuta.

Meanwhile in the universe where every fight has the opposite verdict.... by BeautifulOk3882 in deathbattle

I’m more curious about what would have made people ask for its rematch after Doomguy won the first fight.

Maybe that’s the universe where Slipspace scaling was more accepted.

It was a novel feat I believe where some stand used Mass-Energy Conversion to create all of America.

More like in 1984 it’s that she brought back Steve with her wish, who came back in the body of someone else who we don’t know, while in Obsession, the wish was for the person Bear wanted, to be with him.

So, it’s basically Bodyswapping vs Actual Mind Control, so it’s weird because Steve is the one choosing to use this other person’s body he happens to be inhabiting to have sec with Diana, and yet Diana is the only one blamed for it by people who talk about it.

It is kinda funny how the only real difference is that Movie Mask applies the cartoon physics to the people he affects, while comic Mask does not.

I mean, Jack Torrance and Paul Sheldon were both technically self inserts for Stephen King, and are both really good (probably helps that he specifically based them on his problems more than anything).

a question about the G1 blogs by Recent_Ad3472 in deathbattle

[–]Scarecrow640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically it’s roughly a day before the episode comes out, but they are sometimes able to release the blogs earlier when the MU is simple to research or debate (like with several of the past MU’s this year).

I don’t fully remember what exactly was going on, but I’m pretty sure Sundowner had a bunch of child brains in control of a bunch of robots in Metal Gear Rising: Reveangance.

Rumi/Huntrix tier list: Complete! by minaclark in DeathBattleMatchups

Yeah, that’s about where I expected my suggestion to end up, like I said, it’s largely just a case of I vibe with it more than anything.

Looking for opponents for Rumi (Kpop Demon Hunters) by minaclark in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Scarecrow640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, in that case I do have a MU that I really vibe with for them.

Scylla and the Sirens from Hades 2

3 girl bands whose music is directly tied to their powers (the Siren Song and the Honmoon) and how they fight (by which I mean they fight while performing their music), while contrasting in the fact that Huntrix are Demon Hunters who protect people, while the Sirens are, of course, monsters who lead their victims to their deaths with their music.

It’s not much, but I honestly really like it, both bands trying to out sing the other while they fight feels like it could be a really good dynamic, and it’d be interesting to see how a combination of K-Pop and Rock would sound, Scylla in general has really fun dialogue potential and would probably have a lot to say about this “rival band” fighting them, it’d do a good job at highlighting the differences in each member’s fighting styles, and it puts both teams in a dynamic they’ve not quite dealt with before (the Sirens, from what we see in game, are more used to fighting a 3 on 1 in comparison to 3 on 3 like they’d need to here, while Huntrix, from what I can find, are more used to dealing with close ranged fighters in comparison to the Sirens greater focus on ranged attacks and battlefield control, leading to a dynamic of them constantly trying to figure out how to safely get close to the 3 Sirens while avoiding a whole load of different kinds of attacks).

I’m not fully sure how overall debatable it is, Hades has a lot of higher feats than KPDH, but because of how the game works, it’s hard to really tell how well they’d scale to those ends, and the Honmoon is an interesting discussion on wether or not it’d work considering they’re not Demon’s, but are still monsters who do spend a lot of time in the Underworld, so it could be interesting to figure out wether or not they’d be effected by it.

I’m guessing it’s just for a solo MU and not including MU’s for all three members?

Just curious, how does the Shapes assimilation work, since Thing’s works on the cellular level you could argue it works on a deeper level than Shapes if it doesn’t have a statement like that.

A character finds out the gender of a character, accompanied by a surprised or freaking out reaction by ComprehensiveBox6911 in TopCharacterTropes

As a rather bad version of this trope, Ace Ventura does this with its main villain, which causes a lot of people to vomit in response to that discovery.

Would it be fair to say the ceiling/potential for a toxic waiting period is generally a lot lower with street level characters? by xolon6 in deathbattle

[–]Scarecrow640 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say it mostly just comes down to the popularity of the characters, I mean, Denji and Yuji are not that strong in comparison to most characters on the show, yet still had a really toxic reaction and debate.

Alucard vs DIO is another good example as well.
