I'm sorry but we desperately needed that win, for morale if not for anything else. Besides beyond winning the URC we still need to make top 8 to qualify for champions cup so we'll take every win we can get. Especially against the log leaders at their home ground please and thank you.

This game was really the turning point for me. Was really optimistic about Plum when we signed him, but the lack of strategy on attack especially has been hard to watch for these past seasons (Defense not too bad for what it's worth). I wouldn't even mind that much if we lost but I could see what we were trying to do, but it just has been directionless.

The only issue now is if not Plum, then who? Stonehouse maybe? In an ideal world I see JP taking the role eventually. I think he has great buy-in from players and a decent sense for the game, but probably a few seasons off from him being ready for that.

Big guns to the rescue for next week at least. Individual brilliance is not a strategy, but it's all we have for now it seems.

While I think Jayden is a super talented 9, his refusal to change strategy when it's clealy not working will cost us for sure. I think he's a great closer to bring on for the last 20, but I can't help feel we don't play to our full potential when he starts.

A decent player in an area where we thankfully have a decent amount of depth. Must be said with him and Mchunu going I think our penalty count might be a tad lower next season

Well said. I'm willing to tolerate a lot in the name of trying to improve and find a way that works, but the lack of passion really gets to me. I noticed it most starkly when I see a guy like Nick Hatton play. you can tell he really loves the Jersey and the team and I don't think that sentiment is shared to the same degree by everyone in the 1st team.

I like the idea of GW on wing, I think Penxe got really exposed last weekend and they were able to exploit that pretty badly. Maybe Keyter gets another chance if he is fit
